    terrible tackle ..

only thing i can say in his defence is that both him and the Alloa player had both feet off the ground lunging at the ball.

Gordon can have no complaints and hasn't done himself any favours

Tonight was a chance for him to keep it simple and tidy when called upon in what many thought would be an easy game. Instead he starts with the needless punching on the edge of his box and then rooted to his line when the ball is in the six yard area. As for the Hong Kong Phooey Chop? What was he thinking?

I think on this form he is finished

I think he is trying to hard to be a extra sweeper at the back like BR wants......that stint of passes with him and the defence late it the game just got worse and worse...we do that against city and *.

a problem position that must be sorted in January.that's 2 games in succession we've been lucky with referees not sending our player off that could've affected the game outcomes.we're a bit pash really

He was absolutely unbelievable during the first half of 2014-2015. Strange how dramatically his form dropped

i still think he's the lesser of two (or even four) evils........looks like i'm in the minority though. we've not seen a lot of DDV but we've ran out of games and it's decision time now.

Confidence and decision making are two essential attributes for a goalkeeper. Gordon is struggling in both areas at the moment. If you leave a guy like that in the team then the nervousness will spread through the back four and then through the rest of the team. On current form, we're almost asking for trouble picking Gordon. The problem is, De Vries hasn't done anything to inspire confidence either.

I can't argue with that. However, that stunt tonight could be put down to him trying too hard to prove a point given the cicumstances. He * it!! Would he have made that call if it hadn't been for this....i'm not sure but who knows.
Could be DDV back on saturday because of that decision alone!

ps- it's almost like whoever makes the least *-ups get the jersey.:fear:

Shouldn't be anywhere near the squad at the moment.

I think on the balance of probabilities Gordon is still probably the lesser of two evils. But maybe it is time we gave Bailly and Fasan a chance ?

Anyone got a video of his challenge? From where i was sitting it looked like it was in the box, looked away in horror expecting the penalty and straight red.
