Like I said in the transfer thread if we can get a fully-fit Craig Gordon back to playing his best fitba, it will be a fantastic signing.

I'm more than happy with the thought that Stevie Woods and co are overly-impressed enough to offer a guy who hasn't played a professional game i two years a two year contract, and more than happy that he has passed all rigorous medicals and examinations.

Welcome ya big lanky * ye......

Well, it will be his signing, even if it was not he who originally brought him to the club -he'd have had to have given his blessing after watching him regulalry.

I honestly see this as a signing with a view to Forster leaving maybe next year, not this year.

Gordon will get a chance to get fully fit, and we'll have someone who can take over when Forster eventually does leave. Not to mention, he's excellent cover.

Deila's signing, my *. This has been on the cards since before Lennon left.

Not overly happy with this signing - specially if it is for a direct replacement to Fraser. If it's to replace Zaluska, fine.

Two only good points are that 1) Sevco trained him and got his fitness up, for us to sign him - looks like not all players go for the money.
    2) IF he gets over his injuries, and does go on to be consistant, he could recapture his previous form, right at the peak of a GK career - so could turn out brilliant. But I doubt that.

Think that's how we will do business, especially now.

Lawell signs the players, Ronny's role is that of a head coach rather than a manager.

I'm actually quite excited about this. As Padmill said, the impression he left on Stevie Woods should be a good indication that he's on the right track to being a top keeper again.

Welcome to Celtic, big man. :50:

That's why clubs employ scouts - it's actuallu THEM who bring the players to the manager's attention......

When fully fit he was a very good keeper so hopefully he can stay injury free and he is still sharp

I was never 100% confident in Zaluska as our primary back up if I'm honest. Someone like Gordon, if he returns to something like his previous form, would make an excellent back up to Forster.

They must have great faith in Gordon, considering it's a full two-year contact, and not some pay-as-you-play.

Exactly. They wouldn't hand that kind of deal to someone who they thought wouldn't be fit enough or that was still considered inury-prone.

If Gordon gets anywhere near his late Hearts/early Sunderland form, he will be more than adequate as a direct replacement for Forster.

They must be bummed at the prospect of an injury-prone goalkeeper who hasnt played in two years replacing our current no.1 if he leaves.

    I totally understand that.
