Hopefully the Greeks haven't sold the Island by the 28th ... Although if the Greeks had secured as many discounts as Drak they would be fine financially :smiley-laughing002:

Mind and post your holiday snaps this time then :bbpd:

Secret societies have always made me nervous and, as a rule, I tend not to join them , however its always good to keep abreast of what's going on :86:

I went to Albuferia a few years back and also hated it. For some reason I though it was going to be a bit more classy than the usual Spanish resorts. It was probably the worst.

Some of the old Town was ok, but the newer parts were just a concrete jungle. Everything looked temporary and way too many idiots on the go. The food was awful in the new town and the harrasment levels in the old town were too much.

I'm just back from a week in Salou. It was alright, but it was just for my daughter so we could go do the theme park and water parks.

They are good for a break, but I couldn't do this every year.

A holiday is supposed to be relaxing, but people get all wound up fighting over sunbeds and the likes.

Why does a buffet cause so many people to have to rush about like mad people when all is plenty and free?

Some people just love lying next to the pool for their entire holiday, asking some unknown reps to entertain their kids, then tolerate entertainment at night you'd not even cross the street to go to at home, drinking * quality alcohol and then proclaim it has been a great holiday.

Our food at our hotel was pretty decent this year, but in the past, and also loads if other people find that the food is budget crap all too often.

Entertainment in Salou was all too often bingo or guess that song for a shot in many of the family pubs.

I've never seem so many young ones interested in bingo before!

Watching football means streaming some illegal channel in dreadful quality. I've still no idea what all happened in the game on Wednesday night. I also watched Aberdeen and could just about see what was going on. Then a bunch of girls wanted to see the Big Brother final and had to share internet bandwidth to see that. The buffering was then bad.

Salou was fine for a week, but I'm glad I'm back. Meet the Celtic team leaving Glasgow yesterday when we came back.

I just don't follow why so many people love going to the common resorts to be be treated to a low standard of service, yet they can enjoy it there, but not accept it at home.

There is far more to a holiday than this.

A holiday is usually what you make it.
I have been on some great ones with excellent service, lovely food, &
    good entertainment but other people
in the same hotel seem to just like moaning for the sake of it.

I have also been to a couple of shitholes & just made the best of it,
    eat, drink out etc:icon_mrgreen:

This isn't aimed at you, just a general observation.
