Cool records there daschoo, yeh the Gyr Falcon is a rare winter visiter to Scotland, just a few every year, mostly off the the north west coast Islands, but the odd one visits the Highlands now and again.

Rough Legged Buzzard is a very scarce winter visitor to Scotland, mostly on the east coast, but the odd one stays in the Highlands.

And yes Bears mygirlmaria they clearly do not give a *,in fact in the whole world they have only one true wild enemy, what is it?????????

Pretty sure I've seen some unidentified species in the jungle of some hairy vaginas.

Cidermaster I find your love of wildlife extremely interesting. Is it a hobbie or a job?

Cheers DOOGO BHOY! It is a massive hobby,a huge part of my life,i used to do paid surveys, out at sea and in Moorland and forest, getting paid to do your favourite hobby is unreal!!

Oh mygirlmaria its is the Tiger, the only animal that actually preys on bears! There was in recent times a male Siberian Tiger who specialized in hunting Siberian Brown Bears, experts found the remains of 14 different bears he had hunted,he had a collar on him.
Bengal Tigers sometimes prey on both Sloth Bears and Asiatic Black Bears, when a Tiger hunts,he hunts!

Good luck with that. Unless you're really remote or you go to Yellowstone when the crowds are quieter you'll struggle to see a wolf - they're so shy and elusive. I've seen bears up in BC before. Mainly because they're attracted to the bins and rubbish that we leave behind.

Went out for a cool walk at dusk with my Boxer Dog Daughter Jasmine looking for Britain's biggest Bat,the Noctule Bat and i got great close ups of 6 of them feeding on moths in the moonlight, they are twice the size of the bats you get in your gardens and you can hear them calling!
Always a great atmosphere at dusk, especially in the moonlight, its a lovely little spot,in the recent past i have had close ups of Tawny Owl,hunting Barn Owl and Woodcock at this location.

The missus and I went to have a round of golf at Port Douglas (North Queensland) and the bloke in the pro shop is going through all the usual stuff, but then he finishes with: 'Oh, and watch out for the croc on the tenth tee.'

Presumed he was joking, but sure enough...we get to the tenth and there's a 12 foot croc lying on the mud of the water hazard, about 20 feet from the tee!

Fair enough, those * grow to be twice that size, but a 12 footer will still ruin yer *' day.

Was happy to take a drop about 50 yards closer to the green.
