I think commons is a luxury player, you can't argue with his scoring / assist stats but he doesn't quite suit our fast paced two touch football, I would rather Rogic at no. 10. When he isn't scoring or assisting he waste's a lot of attacks with too many touches or low percentage shots. I think commons should be used as a 60 minute sub to change games.

He might do but I highly doubt we'll see another midfielder hit over 30 goals for a long, long time, if ever.

He's just 12 goals away from being our first '100 club' member since John Hartson

Realistic target for him this season.

That's some going for a midfielder.

Especially considering he went a full season, with only 1 goal scored. Bizarre.

He's never had pace but I dunno about another 3/4 year's. He's not gonna be able to drop back centrally either and for the first time at Fir park, I noticed a couple of time's his legs faulting him getting on the end of thing's..

Still got it for now but I saw possibly the hints of the decline..

I don't think he'll play to the same level but he could still be used in the Lubo type role when Lubo was that age.

3 games a week will not be possible for him within the next couple of years you would reckon.

Lubo was still a decent pace in his mid 30's and also was better at beating a man, especially as he could go either way..

Ball to feet he's still good but I noticed a crack on some perfectly weighted ball's to run on to..

I reckon he'll be an impact sub as early as in to next season..

Wasn't comparing them as players mate, Lubo was something else as much as I love Commons. More the careful way you need to handle players when they start getting older.

He's only just turned 32 though, reckon we have a while out of him yet.

    I know :50:

I wonder how long away he woulda been from coaching if Lenny was still here, as both were public about it. You really couldn't see it under our regime just now, could you?:smiley-laughing002:

So he has to play on :icon_mrgreen:

A great player can pick a pass can score from distance fair enough he cannot cover the yards brown does but they make a great combination. He will last for another few years yet if used correctly and as been said like Lubo can be carried workrate wise to give you that bit class that opens up teams with 11 behind the ball

    Very, very, impressive.

Don't agree with this though. I think we'll be lucky to get the whole of next Season out him as a first pick.

I can't think of any other outfield attacker we've had at that age other than Lubo?

I don't mean as a guarenteed first team player mate, just that he could still play to a relatively high level at that age if handled properly.
