Got to watch that though. Here's the full data http://www.tnsglobal.com/uk/press-r...-still-with-the-snp-but-many-remain-undecided

As many people said they were undecided as said they will vote SNP (29%). For some groups such as 18-24 year olds it's as many as 38% undecided (30% voting SNP).

SNP will win this in Scotland, but there's some work to be done before it's quite as comfortable as that.

If a party put in legalising canabis in their manifesto it could sway the vote in their favour, weren't the greens for it last election?

I'm not sure whether it was in their manifesto or not but I'm sure the party is pro-legalisation. Not the thread for it but it makes absolute sense.

Aye maybe an idea to put a poll to see who is for it. I'd consider voting for a party backing it, Millions will be made off the taxing of it, new buisness enterprises created, less people convicted for possesion and dealing, it's a win win win situation.

So Murdoch is predicting we will win 48 seats - seems about right. It won't be over 50.

:smiley-laughing002: I watched Andrew Marr (think thats his name) absolutely roast the Conservatives on this - just made up propoganda and most of the people don't even have shares in the companies listed. Infact some didn't even know they were on this list.

I understand what you mean, I just disagree.

The last five years have been a Conservative/ Liberal Democrat coalition, a fairly weak partnership from the Liberal Democrats. They are a centralist party and none of their policies are particularly earth-shattering - none of which will scare the markets.

However now it is likely there will be a different coalition (although there may still be a Conservative/Liberal Democrat coalition). If it is Conservative/UKIP, then there will guaranteed be a referendum on whether or not to leave the European Union - that will cause havoc with the markets and they will not react well to that. Infact I dare say, that is the single biggest threat to the markets there can be in the next 5 years.

If it is Labour/SNP - both these parties are pro-European Union. None of them have particularly damaging policies, they aren't massively socialist the way people imagine and are very much pro-business. After all the bluster and commotion with regards to this sort of 'coalition', most will see that its not a particularly damaging one. Certainly I don't believe it will be chaotic for the markets.

I don't think the markets would react hugely negatively to an snp/lab coalition. They would prefer a con/lib coalition to continue of course but it would be short sighted view imo, with the conservatives promising an in out eu referendum.

They'll react very badly to the uncertainty of political negotiations especially when so much uncertainty exists, but I would expect the vast majority of any downturn to recover within a few weeks of an agreement being reached.

Definitely. However to win 50 seats+, potentially only losing 9 it is just too hard to imagine.

Will the Conservative lose the one seat they have - I doubt it, I believe they will keep it. Will the Liberal Democrats really lose all 11 seats, I just can't imagine it. And you know there will be a few constituencies that are hardcore Labour that will bottle it.

Funny feeling mine (Inverclyde) will bottle it and vote Labour, I mean we only voted no by something like 200 votes and Ronnie Cowan has plenty of support but its hard to imagine no Labour in this area - too many old folk, set in their ways. Same applies across the nation.

Will be great if we can though, truly.

We lost the referendum, therefore its difficult to comprehend how a sweeping win for the SNP will transpire. Although I do know from campaigning, many planned to vote no but will vote SNP in elections. And I know the SNP have won many over, however has it been enough?

    Excited for this though.
