If that player comes along and proves he can benefit the side more than Brown, then by all means.

The day will come when he has to be replaced but right now he is proving critics wrong once again and rightly deserves any plaudits.

I think a quality CM is needed to compliment both him and Biton in Europe and it should now be the focus of BR to get that man in. Whoever he may be.

Scott Brown is such an essential part of our team right now. How he reads the game, galvanises everyone around him, makes key interceptions and dictates the pace of the game correctly are all very important to us. An in-form Scott Brown makes us a respectable and dangerous side for most teams. Without him we lose quite a bit of quality as a whole in my opinion.

I think we would find it extremely difficult to find someone to do a similar job.

Man you guys are crazy to be ragging on Broony.

He has consistently played with injuries in almost every season, because we had noone else, put his own interests after that of the team and for that he gets pelters.

A fully fit injury free Scott Brown is absolutely vital to our team.- is he replaceable? Aye when he retires or when he actually is finished- which will no doubt be quite a few years down the line as he is most likely our fittest player.

If anything his decision to play on through injuries is the main reason he gets criticism, because his game to be fully effective needs him at 100%. That much is obvious.

Judge himwhen he is fully fit and firing on all cylinders like now.

Broony is the best at what he does its that simple.

The people compaing would struggle to name 5 guys who can do what he does better

Start laying down some names then.

Its easy to stick the boot in, but who can do what Broony does better than him and what chances do we have of getting in this player?

If its an unrealistic suggestion you make then your point is completely irrelevant

You could probably replace him with an aggressive, energetic midfielder who may be a bit better on the ball if you were smart with your money.

However, said midfielder would probably not be as fit as Scott and he certainly wouldn't have the leadership qualities or ability to read and dictate a game like Scott has.

No one is 'ragging' on him really.

    Certainly not me.

The guy is a machine....we'll see the best of him this season under BR.....he loves a challenge and for most of his term at CP he has proven he should be mentioned with the same regard as the best we've had in his position....IMO.

When Brooney signed for us I said way back then he had the potential to be regarded as a celtic legend.....maybe I will be proved right after all :celt_2: We've been seeing the old Brooney full of pace and dig and it's quite remarkable given the time in between. Players seldom come back from a series of real setbacks to be just as good as they were to start with or better. Forrest is the same. Credit to the players and our fantastic manager.

Brilliant again. Passing crisp and nice footwork amongst the usual ball winning

Superb last night. It was the definition of a captain's performance. Battled for everything, drove the team forward, and then topped it off with a cracking finish, after one of the worst attempted efforts you're likely to see :smiley-laughing002:

Probably one of the only things most folk on here would agree with, is that Brown's passing has been poor since we signed him.

But in the last 2 domestic games, and last 4 European games, it seems like every single pass is finding it's man.

Looks so much more assured and confident, while pulling off some eye-of-the-needle through balls as well. Find it bizarre how good it's been, especially at this late stage of his career.

    Long may it continue.
