The guy was outstanding along with Wilson last season, anyone who claims he's a poor footballer is just plain wrong. He made a terrible error vs Juventus and ever since then he's "*" apparently. Has everyone just totally forgotten his displays in the group stage?

Like others have said, it's his concentration that let's him down at times, but that's something that the coaches can drill into him, natural ability - which he has in spades - can't be coached.

The way people jump on the "*, get him tae *" bandwagon is ridiculous

I hate it when I'm the only one defending Efe.

Makes me feel so terribly, terribly alone.

How long do you give him to get his act together though?

If - hypothetically - he * up and cost us a chance at the group stage then i doubt anyone would be on here saying "he needs time"

He's a full international for a very capable team. he needs to sort out the daft lapses in concentration and quick.

Ambrose gets bullied far too easily off strikers, against Emenike and Cardozo fair enough but not that black guy with orange boots (his name escapes me lol) today.

He has ability on the ball but his concentration and decision making is appalling. We need the Ambrose we first saw back, calm, cool, collected on the ball and a competent defender.

Could put the shoe on the other foot and say if his big mistake had come in a 4-1 win over St.Mirren instead of the CL last 16, people wouldn't be too bothered.

I support the guy because I can see he has the natural talent and athleticism to be a top defender and when he doesn't * up, he and Wilson are a great partnership.

If he continues to make stupid errors and decisions despite being coached not to, then fair enough, he doesn't deserve to play for us. But I think our coaches can drum it into him when it's NOT a good idea to try and play your way out of trouble or attempt to beat a man.

The problem is his * up's are getting more and more frequent. He needs dropped for his own good as well as for Celtic's good. I reckon this will happen once Virgil Van Dijk is fit.

Same, I left with about 5 minutes to go and assumed he made another blunder.

I can only think of one thing he never done well today when near the start of the game he kicked the ball off a * and he broke away, other than that he played well?

From reading these comments youd assume he made multiple mistakes and got the pish ripped out him.

Yep, he was good apart from that crazy moment. He even had one fantastic saving tackle that if never made it would have surely resulted in a goal.

He is decent player but the lapses in concentration are a worry and will cost us dearly if we're not careful.

All we should look for is progression in a player, we buy them because they are flawed and the big teams don't want them, then we try and iron out those flaws to make them a more complete player who we can then sell for profit or enjoy them playing for the hoops.

I just hoped the daft mistakes were consigned to the past but he conjuredup another today.

    it's worrying is all.

For what it's worth i don't think he'll be first choice this season anyway.

He was decent today but I'm never confident when the ball is near him

He also decided to try to flick the ball over his head when he was last man and let the Ross County attacker through on goal and Charlie Mulgrew saved him. They are more and more frequent, it's frustrating because the rest of his game is great but moments like that, if capitalised on, just make the rest of the game worthless.

All depends on if we can keep hold of Wilson. Virgil + Wilson may prove to be a better partnership but I'm happy to have Efe around.

Think he's an absolute stick on to play holding midfield if we make the group stages. I can't see Lennon playing without one and he doesn't really seem to rate Kayal too highly just now - and he isn't a holding midfielder anyway.

He isn't intelligent enough to be in the back 4.

He beat me in Scrabble once. Don't let his clattering defensive appearances fool you.
