Great fight but there's been better, mcgregor was great but you've got to give it to Diaz, he's one tough son of a *.

I think they should leave it about 18 months.

If I could pick fights i'd have Diaz V Cerrone and McGregor V Aldo both on the same night again as their next fights - both rematches of fights they had before, depending on what happens there they may want to fight other guys at those weight classes and then their 3rd fights could rematch each other.

    Conor's takedown defence was brilliant.

Aye, Diaz didnt have much left in him either the last 2 rounds when he was trying the takedowns but he done well to avoid them. If he had been taken down he probably wouldnt have had the energy to get him off him and Diaz would have gone on to win the rounds and maybe won the fight from it.

Conor won the first easily, edged the second, Diaz won the 3rd easily, Conor won the 4th and Diaz edged the 5th. Fair result Imo. Hope he defends the belt next.

I'll need to watch the fight again but I think I had conor 1,2,5 and diaz 3,4. I don't think Diaz really done anything round 5 apart from the takedown at the end and conors defence was great that round.

McGregor 1, 2 and 4 quite clearly for me. Round 2 was fairly close but McGregor clearly won it imo.

Aye plus overall you'd say he done the most damage too which has to count for something 3/4 knockdowns I cant even remember and Diaz face and leg show how much a beating they took.

If Diaz had got the win you'd be thinking how could a guy who took that kind of beating have won.

A draw wouldnt have been unfair on either, if anyone won it was McGregor but it ended up closer than it looked.

McGregor in the first 7/8 minutes of the fight was maybe the best performance i've seen. Was avoiding everything and catching Diaz all the time, knocked him down a few times and just looked like a man slapping a wee boy about.

Mad that judge gave the 3rd 10-8 for Diaz. If anything the first round was a 10-8 to McGregor I thought, he severely outclassed him and even made him look quite stupid.

Aye surprised at that aswell, expected atleast one 10-8 in McGregor's favour.

My memories quite *, i've literally forgot all the best ones i've seen before but know theres been a few.

I'd put it 2nd to Rory MacDonald and Robbie Lawler, that was like this fight only they had more energy about them for longer and both battered each other a good bit more. Don't know if you seen that or not, that whole UFC card was superb as well, im sure the mat was near covered in blood there had been that much cuts and bad beatings that night.

Not even close to being the best fight ever. Very good entertaining fight but the stakes made it more exciting than it was.

Diaz let himself down in the post fight huddle. Merged the Brazilian and Johnny Hendricks books of excuses together and gave McGregor no credit. Been a massive Nate fan since he faught Cerrone years ago but he's definitely went down in my estimations.
