    Players are worth what clubs are willing to pay, and how high their club value them.

    Carrol - £35million?
    Downing - £18+million

    Are these guys really that good? No chance. So why shouldn't we tell teams we want £8-12million for our top players?

    Totally agree with this point.

    I think Kayal is offski or is wanting out. Im just going to put that out there, sitting on the bench during the week and not coming off the bench, the links with southampton and he has just sent a link to a best of kayal video that his agent has made on twitter. Its got a bit of the Mcgeady transfer about it. Anybody else agree?

    The guy's been out for 6 months, gets injured again in preseason so he's leaving?
    On the bench on Wed, that was fair enough. Short of match fitness and not a viable attacking option so why bring him on?
    Think he'll get some game time tomorrow. And I honestly think we'll be a bit more defensive at the away leg so probably see Kayal playing.

    He doesn't look unhappy here. And to me his agent has always appears to be an interfering git. Constantly trying to show him off to other clubs.
    Fact is he just signed a new deal last season and won't be going anywhere.
