He can't sign for Chelsea in September as he will only be 16 and players can't sign pro forms in England till they are 17

Wee * *! Agree with the above. No problem with players leaving Celtic. But if it wasn't for Tommy and Celtic the wee * would be rotting in Somalia!

F*ck him, if he wants to leave for money let him. Maybe he can use the money to sort his lugs. Little fud can't wait to hear him howling about wanting to come back to Celtic when he gets transferred to some low league english team after he fails at the Huns of England.

no hes doing exactly the opposite when was the last time chelsea brought anyone through their youth academy. They poach the best talent from all over the world and still cant manage to bring anyone through to their first team. Not to mention the fact that celtic and tommy burns were the ones who prevented feruz from being deported he owes the club atleast several seasons for the first team. I had high hopes for him breaking through at celtic but we have better and more loyal prospects anyway and his career will probably amount to nothing if he really does go to chelsea

Dont blame him, what 16/17 year old would be stupid enough to turn that down?

cant beleive some of the things people are calling him on here. hope he turns out amazing for whoever he goes to .. IF he goes.

dont think its fair using tommy burns' death as ammunition

    edit:
at the end of the day, if its true that celtic & tommy burns stopped him from getting deported, then its more about helping an individual, rather than having him tied down to the club because of a "favour". basically you guys are saying if tommy knew he was going to move to another club, then he would have got him deported. grow up, its more about helping someone rather than the method of "you scratch my back, il scratch yours"

I'm quite sure Tommy Burns would be delighted to see this young man make the most of his talent. It would have been great if it had been with Celtic, but if another club can offer him better prospects then good luck to him.

Tommy would be proud of him and he certainly wouldn't have abused a young boy in the way some of the posters on this thread have.

Remember we are Celtic and we should never abuse our own, leave that to the followers of other clubs. Islam may have made a mistake, but what young boy hasn't.

I hope he turns out to be a top player and remembers the part Tommy played in his formative years.

    Hail Hail

If this is correct then you couldnt blame him, only 15 and one of the top 6 teams in the World, living in a penthouse in London on £2,500 a week. Not many people could turn that down.

Then wait 5 years and he is most likely going to be at Watford or somewhere.

But you would think he would have someone advising him with a more long term view he has a astronomically higher chance of making the breakthrough at celtic than at chelsea and 2500 per week is a lot of money but its nothing compared to what he could be making if he develops into a great player first team player
