Really good GK but i think we should keep our loyalty with Forster who has had a much improved season and hopefully will only get better.

 

correct,since the penalty save against diet huns he hasnt looked back.
dont think gordon is required.
and i cant forget him coming up for that corner in a game that was of no
significance to them.

 

Good shot stopper, comes for crosses, overall good keeper. Biggest problem is with injury.

Having said that, injuries haven't been career threatening and could happen to anyone.

I'd take him but only as back up to Forster. Also can't see many clubs offering him big wages, so potentially pick up reasonably cheaply!

Still big FF for 1st choice!

I agree with everything you say, apart from the bold.

You don't want players to be commited to their team? To not want to do the best they can in every game they play, regardless of significance? That's exactly the type of player I want to see at the club.

I would leave well alone with Gordon. Good keeper of that there is no doubt but he is far too injury prone and anyway we have a good keeper already who we have first dibs on in the summer.

I would take Craig Gordon in a flash. He is an excellent keeper IMO and seems to be getting over his long term injury problems. I would also keep Forster and get rid of Zaluskas.

Are we to only sign SPL players that don't try against Celtic? Mark Wilson scored a penalty against us for Dundee Utd, should we have not signed him??

As far as reasons to not sign Craig Gordon go, that is about as silly as it gets.

 

Youtube clips can make Aluko look like Messi. What I remember watching him before his 18 month lay off was a lot of mistakes, being off form and him getting dropped and generally not being very good.

I just want to know what has changed in the last 18 months that people think hes the answer, is it because hes Scottish?

 

I am like you Hadouken, I think big Gordon is genuinely a class goalkeeper, and hopefully his injuries are behind him. I have been very critical of big Forster, and at the time, I felt I was right to criticise, and I still defend that I was right. However I think for about our last 10 games, the big man has been magnificent, not one of us could ask for any better, ................ but wouldnt it be feckin great to have both on our books

 

However what we should all remember, and remember it well, wee Martin knows better than most Managers down south, just what big Gordon's abilities are. He was the Celtic Manager, who watched a young Craig Gordon, develop into the outstanding goalkeeper that he was at Swinecatle, and the same outstanding goalkeeper that he still is now. Martin O'Neil, knows the true value of Craig Gordon, and I will be extremely surprised if he lets Gordon go

 

both on the books would never happen ..I for one would love us to tie Forster up long term ..He has had his faults but is now developing in to a top keeper ..
No denying Craig is top drawer however his injuries point to a gamble in the long term

Very true. I think the best keep MoN signed was Broto. Gordon Strachan knew a good keeper though.

the time he did it against us was unique for him in a nothing game for them.

and im glad we never resigned that Larsson guy after he scored against us

 

i would take gordon with 1 arm and 1 leg and blind over forster (pish) but i doubt we are even in the market because lenny likes this big numpty and il stand behind lenny all day
