do you honestly think Forster is a good keeper ??

Hes not in the same class as Craig Gordon :50:

  3. I think The Beast is a far better goalkeeper than Craig Gordon

So are the management wrong at Sunderland for not putting him straight back into the first team ?

He only made his comeback last week.

I've been critical of Forster in the past but he's been first class in the past few months. It's undeniable that Gordon is the better goalkeeper but I'd persist with Forster. He's our #1 and rightly so. Let him develop and then get him signed at the end of the season.

what has gordon actualy done to claim legendary status among some of you ? he went to sunderland , had about 1 good season then flopped, if i recall manager dropped him cause he was playing so bad , then the ever present injurys that hit him.
worst thing we could do is let forster go and bring this man in, he has seen more injury rooms that maloney ffs

  7. that's certainly my feeling on this. hopefully its no more than just a poor rumour.

Were he not made of porcelain I'd say sign him up immediately - but he'll just get broken.

    Yes.

How would you, or any of us, know how good Gordon is nowadays considering he has barely played in the last 18 months?

Do you think if he was anywhere near the level he was in 2007 they'd be happy to let a guy they paid £9M for leave for nothing this summer?

Even in 08/09 and 09/10, when he was relatively injury free, he was in and out of the side like a yo-yo due to his inconsistency. He's a bit like McGregor in the way he grabs all the headlines for spectacular saves but is prone to making blunders.

It was you, not me, who said he's 'fit and over his injuries now'.

If Sunderland had any intention of keeping Gordon they wouldn't have brought in Westwood in the summer. And they agreed the deal before Gordon got his latest injury. He'll be lucky to make the bench between now and the end of the season.

Gordon has had long term serious injury which is unfortunate. He hasn't had constant injury problems like Maloney. I personally don't see the risk. He's a class goalkeeper. Much better than Forster.

  20. Nah hes no worth the big wages and always injured,he signed for Sunderland and they got ripped off big time coz hes absolutely pish....
