sorry for the late reply mate, I'm not online much these days.

it started out pretty wee, but got bigger and more international over the years. mostly death metal bands from all over the world are invited.

I'm mostly into the older bands like in the first post. Maiden, Sabbath, Motorhead, Metallica, Megadeath etc.
I do also have a slight penchant for some of the glam bands like KISS, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, although they could be considered more Hard Rock than Metal.

    The older bands yes :50:
The glam bands no :56:Not mocking you for liking them mate :50: just personally hate them thats all.

Listen to any Extreme Metal mate? thats probably my fav sub genre, although I listen to 90% of stuff with the suffix Metal, Death Metal is my favourite.

Can anyone reccommend me any decent local bands in Glasgow or Edinburgh or decent venues that put on shows? Will be coming over on holiday next year and wanted to try and get to a few shows. Into metal, hardcore or punk music.

"The * of Thunder" said to me that the "Crazy Crazy Crazy Nights" would be too much for me and when I would go to "Detroit Rock City" somebody would attempt to shoot me with a "Love Gun" when I was "Rock and Roll All night" with "Beth", so I shouldn't like them.

Ok I admit that was terrible word play :56:the real reason is their music is crap :icon_mrgreen:

A note for the song above if you're christian and easily offended you might want to pass on this one :56:not that it makes a difference because you can't make out what he's saying :56:

Good man yourself :50:Amon Amarth are a brilliant band. Heres a few by bands similar to them. Can't really comment on any bands similar to SOAD because I don't listen to that kind of Metal, actually maybe Korn? anyway have a listen to these songs

All three of those are Melodic Death Metal, the second and third songs are heavier than the first. Hope you enjoy mate :celt_2:
