    Wee thought experiment.

Imagine if his name was Carlos Mulguerro, and we'd just signed him from La Liga in January.

We'd be raving about the guy. Good on the deck, good in the air, tall, composed, excellent distribution, and to cap it all off, takes quality free kicks and corners.

    * me, there'd already be threads about what Premiership team was going to pinch him...

The thing with Charlie is he is making Maj play better too, much less bombscare. And Charlie with his cultured left foot is great at picking a pass and a danger at set peices. The futures very bright and defo Green and White.

Charlie was perfect today. Still he is bit nervous when he gets the ball on his right and his pace isn't best, but overall we have now good ballplaying CB. Good player to have in team.

Delighted to see him get the recognision he deserves and now see him as a genuine contender as a starting CH.

I must admit, Charlie at lb didn't impress me too much, perhaps because of izzy. However, the last run of games he has shown himself to be quite clearly a CB, his composure on the ball alone is amazing!

I like him at CB. He is reasonably quick for a centre-back, brilliant left-foot, composed on the ball, good under pressure, nice height and is starting to read the game very well, often covering both Majstorovic and Izzy. Gordon Smith today was saying that if he carries on he should find himself called up for Scotland!

He has the spot locked down until he loses it...

If he keeps playing well.. he will be in the CB discussion with Rogne and Kelvin Wilson for the next few seasons..

My worry with Chuckstovic at CB would be that he was too lightweight. Boy did I get that wrong. I didnt see him lose a header he went for today and solid in everything he did. Wonderful composed performance from a much maligned player.

Good on him. He deserves to keep his place.

I was thinking about playing him up front with Hooper..

He certainly has the height to play CB.......

Charlie Maldini gives us a balance there, i think maj will be used as an experienced squad player next season and Mulgrew will partner either Rogne or Wilson :50:
