Should he be our Right Back? Do you think he is better than Cha? Imo Cha is better playing at right wing. Wilson had a great game yesterday, helping the MF breaking up play. Thoughts?

Early on yesterday he struggled, but as soon as he got his positioning right for marking Weiss et al, from then on he always appeared to have everything under control personally & Celtic started to take control of the game, as going down the left had been the Hun's main outlet during those early stages.

I've always rated Wilson as a RB. Hinkel is still the best we have & (although I doubt he will), I hope he is offered a new deal & stays on. Wilson is a very reliable deputy & given the choice, I would probably opt for Wilson over Cha.

Worth keeping around. During his first season, I really thought he would be a fixture here for his entire career. Obviously injury put an end to that.

I'd have Wilson playing at right back for years to come, think he's been terrific recently. As for Cha, aye i agree he's not a full back he's a right winger. Looks like Hinkel won't be staying around for much longer after his injury so i can definately see Wilson being the permanent right back for some time to come.

I'd have him behind a fit Hinkle in the pecking order but for now he's our best right back. Did well to avoid letting Whittaker drag him too wide to allow space for Weiss to exploit.

Always liked Wilson. He could have been twice the player he is if he didn't get they bad injuries.
He would be my 1st choice RB. But in all honesty I wouldn't mind a better RB to match Izza

Just let him and Cha battle it out for the spot and the best man takes it. Its always a good thing to people fighting for the 1 spot :icon_mrgreen:

Wilson is a much more solid option at RB than Cha. I feel Cha could do well in a similar role as Charlie Mulgrew yesterday but on the right. They both are neither full out attackers or defenders, somewhere in between. They would offer great protection to the defence especially when guys like izzy are constantly bombing forward and overlapping. Possibly this tactic needs to be employed for games that are really physical to offer us some more protection.

Much, much better player than Cha and he's a good Celtic man too which is always a welcome bonus.

I have always liked him but he has only played a handful games in the past 4 years. I would sell him. We can't rely on him since he's injured even more than Maloney.

I am neither a fan of Wilson or Cha, Hinkel is better than both.
Wilson to me has and is a bit on the tentative side, and for me it shows, not much better than average!

Wilson is decent - nothing more IMO. Defensively he is better than Cha but that isnt hard considering Cha is essentially a RW as all his strengths are attacking.

I think he's quality, really unlucky with injuries, but with proper run of games he shows his ability. Truly think he's twice the player Cha is!

Also nice to see him playing right back for once, he never let us down in his previous runs at LB but its not his position!

He had a great game yesterday, stay injury free and he can have a good run in the team
