this guy could pave the way to get rid of scott brown with any luck.
why scott brown is captain I'll never understand, absolutely useless.
at least this guy has bottle, composure on the ball, and great vision in midfield.
perfect ....go get him now in time for the old firm game , before hot head scott gets sent off after 60mins.
Scott Brown makes me mad :47:

I'd be prepared to make an exception and I'd be happy if we signed this guy, he's what we need in midfield. We all know Lenny is looking at defenders, he knows we need ones.

He is a right winger which we need but to be honest I would rather just play Cha their and use the 500K towards shecter

JOS HOOIVELD last night urged Celtic to hand Freddie Ljungberg an Old Firm debut on Sunday.

Swedish star Ljungberg trained at Lennoxtown yesterday as he edges closer to a move to Celts.
Agent Phil Smith is expected to open contract talks with Hoops chief executive Peter Lawwell within the next 24 hours.
The winger is a free agent and could make his bow against Rangers at Ibrox.
Stopper Hooiveld said: "Freddie was in very good shape, surprisingly good. We all want players who can contribute something extra to the team.
"He can be a player who gives this team something special we need. He looked really strong in training.
"The coaches have not said anything to us. I do not know anything about whether he will sign.
"But he is showing in training that he can be special for us."
Ljungberg, a close pal of Hoops No2 Johan Mjallby, jetted into Glasgow on Sunday night.
He'll train again with Celts today as he ponders his future after leaving Chicago Fire.
SunSport understands boss Neil Lennon faces competition for his signature from south of the border.
But the Hoops chief has reiterated Ljungberg is ready for an Old Firm debut if a deal can be brokered.
    Lennon said:
"Freddie has looked after himself very, very well throughout his career. He has a good mentality towards the game. He had a bad time with injuries at West Ham and I understand that. But he has overcome this.
"He had surgery in America and for the past 18 months he has been playing on a regular basis.
"Freddie wants to come back and play in Europe. His agents contacted us and we felt there might be an opportunity there to have a look.
"If he likes what he sees, and we like what we see, there might be a deal worth doing."
Ljungberg's arrival has persuaded Celts to cool their interest in Utrecht midfielder Michael Silberbauer.
It's also understood reports of interest in Malmo midfielder Guillermo Molins are wide of the mark.
Meanwhile, Hooiveld has pledged to stay and fight for his place at Parkhead.
The Dutch defender said: "Here, I had to start over and it has not gone as well as I had hoped for. But I will stay as long as the people here want me."

Thats kinda * because silberbauer is a great midfielder. One of the stronger players in the dutch league. They should still get him. Ljungberg might be out of it.

Nah I read in the Evening Times a couple of days ago that our interest in him has cooled, and now that Ljungburg has signed with De Rosario also on trial, can't really see this happening.

I couldn't comment on weather I would want him or not though as I havn't really seen him play at all but everyone who I've heard from is saying good things about him.

This is probably the only midfielder I would've went for.

Hope we still get him, he's what we need more than Freddie - but lets hope it's both.
