I've never understood why folk cream their knickers over May.

HOWEVER, in saying that, if we were to get him and Hooper/Vossen I'd be happy.
Griffiths, Hooper/Vossen and May would be some trio to rotate with.

    He'd be a great signing.

However Leipzig are flush with money so they could sadly probably offer him more than us, even at this stage.

It seems Celtic are sniffing around Derby winger Alefe Santos.
I watch Bristol Rovers down here, and 'Alfie' played a few games for us but looked like a little boy playing in a blokes team and was easily knocked off the ball.
That was the season before last, and was in league 2, where if you show any trace of being quick, you get kicked to *. Celtic were looking then but he ended up going to Derby where he hasn't played at all.
He always looked like he had something, but it was difficult to shine down amongst the dead men.
Celtic have definitely made enquiries about him again, here's hoping he has toughened up a bit if we do go for him.

I didn't know there was such a section, hopefully admin can move it then.
The source is from somebody on the staff at Bristol Rovers who knows Alfie well.

Only stumbling block is Juve and Barca have had scouts watch him but surely it wouldn't be out of our reach.

Saying that, if he has a blinder of an under-21 tourny then we're out of it.

Radoslaw Cierrzniak, would be more than capable back up to Gordon and we would get on a free as he was released

Their keepers have gotten steadily worse since Zaluska. Pernis was good for Scottish Prem level, but Cierzniak was a step-down. He's generally solid, but he's prone to the odd absolute howler. Controls his defence well enough, but he's too easily beaten in one-on-ones, especially when he has to come off his line.

In Europe, strikers have the quality and pace to open up our defence, and go one-on-one with the keeper. How many times have Forster and Gordon saved us in those types of situations in latter seasons? Imagine if the guy at times solely responsible for stopping us conceding was Cierzniak? I'd have no confidence at all.

There's better back-up out there. I'd like to see us go and get a good, experienced GK who's perhaps coming to the end of an accomplished career (maybe someone like Sørensen?)* but wants one or two last seasons at a decent level. I'd also go and buy someone young like Scott Bain from Dundee, and immediately loan him out for a few seasons (to Dundee for the first year, then maybe to the English Championship).

That'd be cover (and an eventual successor) sorted for the foreseeable future.

    *EDIT: Sørensen's just retired, apparently.

I'd take him as backup tbh, * was astonishing against us this year. 3rd choice behind Fasan.

Saying that, he's off because he wants back to Poland apparently.

    * was man, can't mind what game it was but he was just having one of those * games you couldn't get by him. Infact, think it might have been the game that took us for a cup replay? Or when they beat us.

    * pulled off a few crackers against us this season.

As 3rd choice, I'd take him. I want Fasan as the number 2.

Looks fast, stocky build. Reminds me of Denayer in the sense he isn't as towering as VVD but gets very tight to players. That can either be a really good tactic or a really bad one.

In saying that, wins alot of headers in there towards the end. Interesting one.
