Difficult for these youngsters to develop playing this standard instead of proper reserve football week in, week out!

Hopefully we tie up the League in April and they get some proper first team game time!

I thought it was because they lost the Scottish U18 league this year, not because the first team didn't qualify for UCL...or are there two separate matches/tournaments? Or, more likely, I m just totally wrong...euro youth league or something like that...

As far as I'm aware the youth c.l mirrors the groups of the seniors. I.e yesterday afternoon Spurs played olympicacos.. there is another European youth comp that teams qualify I think by winning their domestic youth league .. that appears significant step down and is two legged knockouts

Celtic never won the youth league last season.

Rangers did so they take part in the UEFA Youth League this year.

I'm wrong they are both the same comp but they are split until after the group stages. 32 champions league teams in a group stages while the 32 league winner qualifiers play two legged knock out

My point is still the same, if the seniors had bet cluj and slavia our u19s would have home/away games with inter, Dortmund and Barcelona now.. rangers who won the league in Scotland will play two legged ties against young boys and if they win that ludogrets or Bratislava on the other side of the competition. I'd rather the youth team were exposed to those 6 games than be bet by young boys over two legs

    Wouldn’t have made any difference.

Rangers still won the SPL youth league so they get a place in the UYL.

If Celtic seniors had qualified for the c.l the underage team aswell as rangers would have qualified for the youth league. Celtic in that instance would now be on the other side of the comp from rangers in a group with inter Barcelona and Dortmund.

    You sure.

Always thought if you won the league you were in.

No Arzani, I'm hoping that means good things for him rather than an injury etc
