Discuss Youssouf Mulumbu in the Ex Players area at TalkCeltic.net.
Never, ever good enough. Not in his prime and certainly not after being dumped by a Championship team via Kilmarnock.
Two seriously awful attempts (In Kouassi and Mulumbu) and trying to solve the Brown replacement/back up by Rodgers.
Made sense at the time, he had had an excellent season.
So Boyd knew about Ntcham goings on.......... before YM was signed, so much for the mole.....
Just got booked for Congo. Big clumsy *
I'll not spoil it for you but that's a repeat... if you can still get in play betting PM me
Genuinely forgot he was even at the club. What an absolutely pointless signing. Hopefully stuff like this will become a thing of the past.
He was a panic signing made after the window had closed and we had failed to sign Mcginn.
If he was always a target we would have got him a lot earlier in the window, giving him a chance to get fit and up to speed.
He had a very good season for Killie, but i dont believe we should have ever signed him because he wasnt on the level as the players we already had at the club.
Free transfers in the past 5 years:
- Craig Gordon
- Saidy Janko
- Carlton Cole
- Colin Kazim-Richards
- Kolo Toure
- Scott Bain
- Emilio Izaguirre (2nd spell)
- Youssouf Mulumbu
Definitely more duds than anything positive. I'd only give pass marks to Gordon, Bain and Toure.
