We’re still seeing that parakeet most days btw.
Mate sent me this today of the parakeet in his neighbour’s garden.
Yes fantastic birds they truely are and always make a day shine when you see them pal And to think many a Pigeon Fancier and Driven Grouse Moor Gamekeeper want them culled and kill them!!
I’ve only recently changed cars and don’t have dashcam fitted yet on this one, but previous car I had mega wide angled dash cam so that I could record the various birds of prey or anything unusual I saw on the road and periphery.
I drive 30K plus miles dotting about the UK every year and some of the wildlife you see is amazing.
When I'm driving my wife has to warn me to watch where I'm going as I'm always on the look out for wildlife. It's scary on the motorway, doing 70mph, and looking to see what the bird of prey that flew over you, was. She has screamed at me a few times, but I'm always in control.
Just caught this Roe deer in the back garden earlier but it was too quick for me.
You can just make it out.
There’s the Geese at Hamilton Service Station

Saw a wild otter when I was hiking on Skye recently. Popped its head out of the water for about half a minute then went on its way.
Wow, weird to see them next to a service station
There are massive “ponds” that run all the way along that stretch of the M74 under Hamilton Racecourse along to Bothwell Bridge. The birdlife and waterfowl population is large and varied.
There are hundreds of swans on there right now and the ponds are hoaching with huge pike.
The geese wander about most days and further back at the “cheat” road through past the Mausoleum there are deer wandering around most evenings around 6 o’clock
Sounds like a great place for wildlife, lucky you blackfish
