Saw my first Swallow of the year, and had a great sighting of a Greenfinch fighting with a Robin in my back garden. It is the Robin's territory though as it's been here for a wee while now, but good to watch the Greenfinch acting the tough guy. The Robin stood up for it's self with no problem

Watching the World Snooker final i heard a squeaky racket coming from my back garden not 10 minutes ago,so out went me,Ruby Boxer and the cat Jerry to see what the high * is going on(while Higgins pulled back to 2-5) the noise was coming from the Blackbird nest,i thought it could be another cat.So while Ruby and Jerry looked on a clapped mu hands loudly and out flew a female Sparrowhawk right past me,empty handed, empty taloned to be exact:84:

The Swifts have been back for a few days now,a pair of Siskin visited my garden very briefly at midday today and a male Linnet has been singing in my garden for the last 10 days or so.

Love seeing the Swifts back mate. Love the way they glide rather than flap their wings. A good place to see Siskins is the garden of the lifeboat place in Glasgow Green, near to the footpath at the Clyde. Stunning looking birds. Like males more than females, nicer markings
