Looks like very strong North Westerly winds tomorrow off the coast near me so i will do my first seawatch in a good while, good chance of Skuas which are cool, they are the raptors of the seabird world, also maybe a rare gull and Leach's Petrels, tiny smart brown seabirds not much bigger than swallows but can fly through huge crashing waves and strong winds.
Yes thinking about it it is a wee while since i have seen Skuas,so Bonxies should be seen, one of my favourite birds:84:
I will let you know how i get on.

Last weekend , when I was approaching the turn off for Tollcross , on my way to Celtic Park . I noticed a Roe Deer Buck . It was near to the heavy traffic but seemed unperturbed . After the game I spotted a Grey Squirrel . It was bolting towards a tree on rough ground , close to where I had parked . During the week I saw a couple or more dead frogs/toads . It was after a night of heavy rain , they may have been struck by traffic , but didn't show any obvious signs of injury .

Lollipop brought a frog into the living room last night, I eventually caught it, washed it & put it back in the garden. Kept lollipop in & locked her cat flap for the night to deter her.
She's also started bringing * worms in the house!
She's doing my nut in, I'm a naturalist with a cat that kills * everything it meets!

At a funeral yesterday. Went to the graveyard in Viewpark, not sure what it was called. My wife, daughter and I were standing around the grave as the coffin was going down. All of a sudden my daughter, who is a big birder too, tugged at my jacket. A Hobby flew past us. What a sighting we got of it. Shame we had no bins, or cameras with us, as it would have made a great picture. We also saw our first Fieldfare of the year too.

My daughter did comment on the fact we'd seen one quite late in the year, and seeing a Fieldfare so early in the year. We both agreed we were lucky. Great spot for the Chough mate. Love Choughs. So cool looking. Unfortunatly not seen one this year mate.

I said I'd put these pics up a few months back. These birds were walking up the middle of my road holding traffic up both ways at morning rush hour. I went out and chased them onto the path.
