I haven't seen a beaver yet, think they have just been introduced to Scotland aren't they ?
I have seen an otter swimming up the River Clyde just at the Glasgow Green, leaving a big wake in the water behind it, that is how you identify them from a distance, look out for the big wakes in the water, first real big sign.Great place to fish too down at the Green too, you get plenty of eels :giggle2:

Seen a stoat on the walk home today though the wetlands

On a side note I've read recently we have Aesculapian snakes living on our canals now. Not poisonous but big enough to kill a small dog

Just saw my first bumble bee of the year. He was sniffing around my beer can, suffice to say they didn't get any, it's all mine :lager:

I went to Tysfjord in January. They have orca there who come every year for the Herring. Anyway we were allowed to swim in the water with them as they only hunt fish. Loads of humpbacks were following them stealing their bait balls.

Seen my first bumble bee the other day as well, sounded like a * chopper when it was flying over my shoulder from behind me. Sure the things are getting bigger this year, but then again I say that every year.

Also, taking my grandad to Martin Mere in two weeks for a little visit. Haven't been in a while and I haven't been taking my dog out for many walks because of the amount of work I've had so my wildlife sightings have been limited this year.

Seen a complete * today.....utter *. This poor wee Dunnock was minding his own business pecking away at the ground, not 15ft in front of me sitting on a bench, when this hussy.....appeared from nowhere, landed about a foot in front of him, basically sticking her * in the air and waving it. Literally! Poor chap tried to ignore her but she basically pointed her * in whatever direction he turned! He wasnt up for it and gave it a sniff, before flying off.....with the * in pursuit!!
