Yesterday on my local patch i got a fantastic view of an ever so handsome Green Woodpecker and also an ultra close up of a Nuthatch, forgot how handsome these neat birds are.
Today i saw both Sparrowhawk and Kestrel as well as a Chough and a male Stonechat.

Going home from Tesco, Rutherglen, walking over the bridge on the Clyde I saw a Shelduck flying over. I've never seen a Shelduck on the Clyde. Also saw a few Goosanders, Mallards, a Cormorant and a Mute Swan. It made a boring journey enjoyable.

I stop there regularly. The banks of the Clyde were my daughter and I's local patch. The amount of birds and other animals we've seen or near the Clyde is amazing. We once saw a lost Grey Seal, and saw a few
Otters. The birding is superb, and watching Deers is amazing. We've also heard Badgers snoring. We knew where the Sett was. We never seen them, even at night, but went to look at it one morning, and heard them snoring. Absolutely superb. I'd recommend the banks of the Clyde to anyone.

You are welcome to the one that likes to do his dirties on my front lawn every other night.

Right fat one he is, they're usually quite skinny !

don't get me started on the foxes, they're beautiful in the countryside where they belong, the urban ones are all over the place in the morning when a go to ma work, some of them are tame enough to follow you which is scary, hence a taxi to work even though a only stay 10 mins away, am terrified of them unfortunately :55:

Just about to post when I saw your post mate. Walking by the River Clyde today, I stopped and had my usual look around. Moments later I saw my first Kingfisher of the year. What a Bird, Beautiful. Got so excited, my wife told me to calm down. Also ,last weekend, we went a trip to Glencoe, with my daughter. She''s studying Photography, and wanted to take photos in Glencoe. I jumped at the chance, as I've seen a couple of Golden Eagles up that way. Scenery,as always, was stunning. We didn't see an Eagle, but did see a Meadow Pipit. We had a good day though. Still buzzing about that Kingfisher this morning.

Cool stuff johnboy19,yes what a place to take Photos! And yes seeing a Kingfisher always brightens up your day. This morning at my local patch 2 Hawfinch were noted and the resident male Kestrel, just a few minutes ago 3 Chough called as they circled over my house on their way to roost.
