    I've no been in here for a while and had little to add recently.
    I'm not sure if this film I made a few year ago in SA is still copyright and banned on YouTube for the Ian Brown soundtrack so I'll give it a paste here.

    I filmed this at shark alley (Dyer Island) ...which some may have seen on TV ...We done it with Mike Rutzen who documents these amazing beasts and if you ever get the chance to do this...do it...it's amazing.

    Red Breasted Merganser I think. These were quite comical as one managed to snag a crab or something and the others were going mental trying to catch it.     2 things ,
    went into the farm this morning to get the wee girl and i noticed a wee calf outside the pens , farmer comes out with daughter and I told him about the calf ….. " him " he says , the wee thing was standing right behind me .. next ive got 5 weans and me all giving it a wee pet , smashing it was !.

    2 doors down from me have an utterly huge tree in their garden ( far to big for a back door ) but quite often a very large number of starlings descend on it , quite noisy . yesterday it happened again , I looked out the kitchen window and literally a couple of hundred, surely, are all over my back lawn digging with beaks into it . I really dont mind as it usually means I dont have to fork the lawn in the spring , I would really like to get a picture of that to let youse see it when it happens .
