Thanks, Johnie. I find goldfinches very chilled wee birds in that they'll sit for a while on a feeder or branch. Much easier to get a picture of them than blue * or great * which look like they're on speed and won't sit at peace.

Aye Red, you're right about them wee * :52:, I watched a short film on you tube last night and it gave a good tip on how to get a good photo of garden birds, the fella says to fix a stick onto something (he used a light stand) near the feeders so the birds will perch on this for a look around before they land on the feeders.

T's great picture of a bumblebee reminded to post a picture my son had taken during the summer which he asked me to post (I'd forgotten). It's especially for BFL, a reminder for her of happy, carefree summer days when the evenings extended well into the night, when the days seemed to last forever... and you could spend them murdering innocent and defenceless little creatures. :56::56:

That is a beautiful picture red, as soon as I seen it I knew it wasn't you who had taken it because it's of a very high standard, please feel free to post red junior's far superior pictures :56:oh how I miss those summer nights going out with my butterfly net and my crow's feasting on a banquet of colour :fear::56:

Hands off, you've got your own bhoys. :boxing: This wee fella was in the garden last year, the wee pattern of white in his feathers is very distinctive. Delighted to see him back.

This is the mate of the blackbird posted earlier. The original angry bird. I have a softer looking picture of her in the bath which I'll post after the watershed...and depending how we get on today at CP.
