I know, Mrs AMR and the grown up youngsters will shout "crow" now anytime they see one and urge me to take a picture.

Thanks Red, I've photographed a lot of Robins in the last while and that one is the crankiest looking yet.

He's very fine featured, BFL. Lovely wee head. Hardly ever see long tailed * in the garden. A couple of times a year, a family of them come for a wee while then disappear.

Sadly, I no longer live in the countryside and must live vicariously through folks like you, who give me fun "garden reports"! :)

Historically, I've lived in the countryside. My list is based on sightings from those times:
    Evening Grosbeak
    Indigo Bunting
    Painted Bunting
    Yellow Warbler
    Bobolink
    Kestrel
    Woodcock
    Ruffed Grouse
    Pileated Woodpecker
Eastern Wild Turkey (may seem common or silly, but they are so fun to watch/hear and are also *incredibly* intelligent!)

Quick closing note, that I've heard many more birds than I've had the good fortune of seeing!
