All for equality and women having an equal voice in society - where I live that isn't much of a problem so I've never really thought of a world different. Equal pay for equal work - yes? Again, something that I generally have never really encountered or heard of in Canadian society.

I think theres a point where it becomes less about equality and more about pure feminism reigning supreme with this. The part thats starting to erk me a bit is the sexual misconduct allegations flying around Hollywood, where every man is seemingly a gross, cunty piece of *. Some of the stories and "harassment" being talked about is pretty lame tbh. I think alot of these stories are being made out to be equal in terms of there individual scale. I don't think sexual assault and a guy rubbing a womens leg in 1986 should be taken to the same context.

Do you pay attention to it much?

    Good in theory.

Although it will be the usual, jumped up celebrity * jumping on the social bandwagon and telling lies to further their limelight in the media.

Which is a shame because it does nothing for real victims.

Cant really fault it as its hardly a surprise, just have to hope the accusations are genuine and no one innocent gets swept up in the tidal wave, there'd be nothing worse than being accused of beastly actions that are completely untrue.

I've seen a prominent public figure, feminist, state that it doesn't matter if innocent men are mistreated or unfairly accused, due to how women have been historically treated.

It’s fantastic. Inspiring some people to come out with things that have haunted them for years. Absolutely fantastic.

I dont pay much attention and because im not on social media besdies here I dont see much of it.

From what I see on the news I think it started from a good place and has since been hijacked by a mix of puritanical feminists and attention seekers. I guess if it gives people strength or a platform to speak out at crimes committed against them then it is a good thing. But like almost all social media movements it feels pretty open to attention seekers and becomes pretty diluted from the original point.

Good in theory, and made crap by Americanised girls, and their groupie men following.

    * pathetic that the main priority for a modern woman today is following trends and social media/pk views.

Why have they not reported these assaults earlier? A few obviously because of fear, but also many because it most likely never happened, or that shaking a woman’s hand was not seen as assault at that time.

Now it’s mass reported just because of joining in on the big trend and to have a reason showing it of on instagram painting #metoo with jelly on a breakfast pancake taking a duckface selfie of it.

    * help victims in need instead of this * mainstream media-designed garbage.

Doesn't matter if she's at the wind up. Irresponsible claims to make that clearly got a lot of coverage.

I get what she was going for, though. In the aftermath of Trump saying when you're rich and powerful you can grab any woman you want by the *, he was voted in as President of the most powerful nation on earth. When she makes a similar ludicrous statement on the other side, she gets a stream of death threats and a petition to have her removed from the magazine she writes for.

Terrible way to make a point though tbh.

Not paid that much attention to it but it comes across as a platform for narcissistic celebrities to virtue signal. Take Oprah for instance waffling on about sexual assault yet she was pals with Harvey Weinstein for years yet said sweet * all.

Unless there’s other Tweets that I’m missing then it certainly doesn’t seem like she’s at the wind up.
