Despite references to the Clyde, Ask the average person in Ireland who's song is this or what country is it from.
    Another Irish national treasure.

Still payback as you stole our Whiskey and bagpipes and made them yours, well to be fair the bagpipes we likely stole from who knows, but the Whiskey come on now, we invented that shyte.

Possibly, I would not argue over the possibility.

Only because I understand that the oldest carbon dated set of musical pipes found to date anywhere on this old earth like, were unearthed in Ireland a few years ago.
Link somewhere If I come across it I'll post it.

Possibly left there by a China man.

All things come West East and not like the modern brit myths from brainwashed mindset of the other way around and all things come from London or England or Britain.

The Irish effectively founded Scotland and Wales via North Wales and Irish landmarks are dotted all over Devon and Cornwall and cultured much of that Island, we know because the saxon Bede complained about the Irish language everywhere.
Not because john snow's son found out recently, 1400 or so years later and declared it on his recent tv show on how these Islands should credibly be called the Irish Isles.

Irish were demeaned and diluted for a few centuries, written out of history by a Hanoverian and Dutch invented pup race known today as British, time to put the record straight.
The british as a culture never existed for over a thousand years before we did.

Talking of music and Eric Bogle a noble Scotsman who empathised with the Irish and went against the bigotry.
This was our fairly recent history, written out and mocked and treated third class, and no where was that anti Irish hate and racism more overt and evident and endured for so long than in Scotland, endured by the more recent wave of Irish people who made the nation state and mindset of Scot possible in foundation and branch.

We also wear the ancient crown of culture, not some saxe coburg gotha germanic pup

some of the most profound words for anyone of Irish blood to read were written by a African American for his people.

I do recall so very well, when I was just a little boy.
I used to hurry home from school, I used to always feel so blue
Because there was no mention in the books we read about my heritage.

So therefore any information that I got was education.
Bums hobos at depot stations I would listen with much patience
Or to relatives who told the tales that they were told to pass ahead.
But then one day from someone old I heard a story never told
Of all the kingdoms of my people and then how we fought for freedom.
All about the many things we have unto the world contributed.

    You wear the crown.
We wear the crown - we wear the crown.

It was heaven last night. Then when i packed up at 0430 this morning and went to put on my hill walking gear I realised i left my compass a 2 hour drive away ffs :57:. Fortunately last night i said to myself that i was having that much fun if i didnt make the 3 Munros I had planned for any reason it was still worth it, just as well. I coulda done it without a compass, but if i slipped and broke my leg i wouldnt want to be in the news labelled as an airlifted "unprepared" walker lol. But i will now probably do many more camping trips like it without the plans for the next day anyway.

I'd say I'm jealous but you already know that hahah.

Trail West are a cracking wee band as well. Seen them in a village hall outside Oban about 4 year back, they are doing quite well now.
