    Dean Koontz,a rich mans Stephen King.Probably read at least 70 of his books.

    Used to just read non fiction history books. Then I dicovered Tom Sharpe. Some of his later stuff isn't the best but the rest of his books are brilliant. Real laugh out loud stuff.

    For military history I like Anthony Beevor and Max Hastings.
    Also read a lot of Bernard Corwell recently. It's a bit juvenile bit an enjoyable read if you like Historical Fiction
    Edward Ruthetford also does some decent Hisorical Fiction

    I find Beevor's a bit lightweight, if I'm honest.

    Interesting. I thought Stalingrad was excellent and read it several time. Berlin the downfall I also enjoyed and I've just finished Ardennes.
    Although I found it hard to get into his book about the Spanish Civil war

    Have to admit I quite like a lot of German Literature. They had excellent writers back in the day.

    Even though I admire Jules Verne, George Orwell and Aldous Huxley too, one of my current fav is
    Charles Bukowski.
