Vladimir Nabokov. A genius with a pen; prose and poetry of the highest calibre. A real artist.

And the rest is rust and stardust.

I don't really have one. If pushed I'd probably have to say Stephen King, I've read more of his books than any other single author.

Loved Tolkien as a boy his stories took me to a happy place, I now read a lot of different stuff but love Pilger's work.

As Ive said before I don't hate the Beatles far from it, I'm just not into them, but as Ive said before as a massive music fan they changed things in a good way, even if I still prefer other bands from that era :50:

Never really tried Bowie tbh, I think my not liking the Beatles was hearing it constantly in my mates growing up :56:

re-Bowie....im sure you know most of his famous stuff anyway. His 70s stuff was good as a fan, as each album was so different from the last. I didnt love it all, but i gave up on him after Lets Dance. As catchy as it was, it wasnt new.

As a kid I loved Bram Stoker's Dracula - scared the bejesus out of me at 10 years old.
Ann Rice - Interview with a Vampire is a great read - writes like a man.
Charles Palliser - Quincunx is my all time favourite book
Lee Child - His biggest mistake was allowing Tom Cruise to play Jack Reacher.
Stephen King - mainly for the Dark Tower books - crazy fooked up imagination there.

A book advocate, but have slowly come around to E-Books, which if my Dad was alive, would burn me at th stake!!
