If you live then die, and that's it.. then whats the point?

It doesn't mean a difference if you live till 100 years or 100 seconds, you still go back to nothing....

that's what I can't accept, but maybe with time I will embrace it.

You need to get your mind off the what might be and live in the here and now.
Of course it'll come along, it's inevitable.
But to make the most of it and embrace your living must be a wonderful feeling.
It's what I'm aiming for at the moment.
Just being myself and accepting my situation and being able to control my own thoughts. It's a hard struggle as i don't buy into complete happiness. I don't believe there is such a thing. So we tend to get so bogged down if everything is not running perfectly!

it isn't a bad thing really thinking about it,cause for me anyway it makes me determined to try n do the stuff I want to do in life.thinking about death can prepare you better I think, many people get to there death beds and start regretting a lot of things or go through life not thinking about it then when * hits the fan there lost.at least you can try get your head in a better state mentally now that your thinking about it.its hard to go against our natural istinct which is fear, its fear you could say that's causing the problem, causing the anxiety.its an emotion a thought.

Pessimists should not read Nietzsche. His health may have contributed to his Nihilism.
He suffered since childhood from severe migraines. He was in frequent pain. At 44 he had a mental breakdown ending in dementia with total physical dependence due to stroke.

He also wrote of eternal recurrence, which added another ten ton to my anxiety thinking I might live this same existence over and over again for all eternity!

Has anyone ever remembered eternal occurrence? Surely we would recall our last time on the ride.
I’m personally of the opinion that what you see is what you get. No more, no less, & I say that knowing my life will be a relatively short one. I could turn to * & pray for a miracle, or turn to the stars & pray for Dr McCoy to appear from the future. Both would give me hope, however fallible.
Having been literally at deaths door & thinking my number was up, I never had any great profound thoughts or feelings. Difficult to put into words & I don’t want to put a downer on the thread, but it’s not death I fear but the dying process itself. I just know it’s going to be messy & not at all like the movies where I whisper goodbye & nicely float away.
Whatever happens & wherever I go, if they’ve got wi-fi I’ll be logging on as usual.

(I wrote this but wasn’t sure to post, sorry if anyone is offended/upset by it)
