YAYA TOURE has asked fans to let him speak to Brendan Rodgers as he refused to rule out a move to Celtic.

The Man City legend is a free agent after terminating his contract at Olympiacos.

And he hasn't ruled out a move to the Hoops after reports in Italy claimed the Parkhead club could move for him this month.

Speaking on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football coverage tonight, Toure said: "Kolo is asking!

"Celtic is a great team but let me speak with Brendan, we will see.

"Maybe Kolo is arranging something for me but let's see.

"To be honest I've been playing in the Premier League, it's the league where, for me, it's been the most enjoyable.

"But we never know, maybe I could end up in Scotland or maybe in England, or maybe in France.

"I want the choice to enjoy maybe one more year at a high level."

Toure spent eight years at Man City in which he helped bring the club huge amounts of success.

During his time at The Etihad, he won three Premier League titles, one FA Cup and two League Cups.

That run of silverware followed on from the haul he won during his time at Barcelona, including the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.

He left Man City to join Greek giants Olympiacos after his contract ran out at the end of last season.

But now, as Toure searches for a new club, his interest in potentially joining brother Kolo at Parkhead will delight Celtic fans.

Would * stroll it up here btw! Don’t care people say 36 guys still a machine! Sell Ntcham £14m and bring Yaya in on 18 month deal would anyone say no?

Edit: 36 year old Yaya is better than 34 year old Davis!

Why sell Ntcham when he can learn from a world class player in Yaya? Am on the fence with this one but selling Ntcham just would be fecking stupid, bags of talent and potential just need to get him going in the right direction and not play him next to Broony.

Get him in for the banter. I imagine his wage demands would be stupid high, though. Hard to truly see it being done.

In all seriousness.. he's played 5 games in 2018, there's zero evidence he'd 'stroll' it.. and expensive luxury in an area Park we're strong.

    Sorry to be a killjoy..

He’s worth about £70 million he doesn’t need the money. If that’s what motivates him he’s a greedy *

    Agreed.
I’d only consider this if we were to sell Ntcham.
We’re well covered in this area, for the short term anyway, so I think he’s a luxury we can’t afford.

If we are looking to invest in CM at all, then we should be looking at a long term replacement for Broony.

Anyone know why he didn’t get game time in Greece, btw?
Was he just not up to the pace anymore, or was it for some non-footballing, or personal reasons?

If he passes a fitness test and actually had the motivation to dig in and burst a gut then I would be all for it.

No denying the guys talent/experience, world class player not so long ago.

But as mentioned before it’s his mind/heart that is the worry not his feet.

That's all they are about nowadays, why else would he have been in Greece in the first place.
