Worst ever Celtic player(s)

Rab Douglas being on the list is very harsh. The man played a huge part in the winning of several domestic honours, not to mention reaching a certain European final. I'd also excuse Sylla, purely for that goal against Basel at Parkhead. Larsson would have been proud of that finish.

The rest of them though, no argument from me. Utter *. Telfer, Du Wei, Scheidt, Tebily, Sno, Camara (both Mo and Henri)... I'm feeling sick just thinking about how much money in wages and transfer fees we spunked on these duds.

Telfer was an honest pro that played a massive part in Nakamura's role for us and helped us into the last 16 of the Champions League. He can't be compared to these players for me.

 

There are some pretty crazy judgements on bad players in here. Paul Telfer was no cafu, but he was never in a million years one of our worst ever players

 

Not Rab's biggest fan but thought he was better than Gordon Marshall. Still remember his time wasting on the last day against us a few years back.

 

Yes - big, gormless buffoon.

Think he had about one or two games.....other than that, used to run about with his mouth open trying to catch flies.

 

Cha has got to be up there.

His goal against Hearts at Tynecastle a few years ago was a peach though.

 

Anyone who says Lennon is one of celtics worst football has no clue about football.

 

And his impressive debut as well. Pity he didn't do it often enough.

 

Edson Braafheid?

 

Only two players really that ive been like when I seen they were playing was Kenny Miller and Lee Naylor. Two of them were horrific for ages but played a lot.

Other than them no-one that bad has played as much. Camara, Cha, Telfer, Beattie etc werent the best but either didnt play a lot of were reliableish.

 

Naylor was an odd one. He showed what he could do in his first season and his last 8 games under Neil Lennon was back to that sort of form; I genuinely felt sorry for the guy. I like him, just not really as a player.

Loved it when he would lose his temper though, booted about Novo a good few times.

 

some of the mentions in this thread are shocking

 

He was just such an average player though and had no pace but he must have played over 100 games for us, maybe well over it.

I just never liked him.

I didnt like Hartley or Robson either, felt they were too Naylorish.
