Media build them in to a frenzy. Expect to pump everybody. Fan's are full on cringe mode as soon as they pump any old pish..

It’s impossible to avoid too.

You watch bbc news and they have some guy round a scheme to report on the amount of flags hanging out windows n that. And newsreaders who haven’t a clue about football chipping in with comments about Harry Kane.

As so many have said before, the XI on the pitch, and manager now, are bearable and I wouldnt grudge them success. It’s the circus that goes on with it. Commentators, pundits, media, arrogant fans with the head cheerleader, Lineker, coming out with his little riddles. “We can’t go on and win it......CAN WE????!” - aye you might mate, but * calm yer jets.

 

Aye i genuinely feel sorry for all yous who have to endure it, yet don't even live in England. At least I know what to expect, although it never get's easier until they're knocked out..

Every build up, half time, post game and during is just constant build ups and references to them..

My uncle always said, the world cup starts when they're out and you can finally enjoy it..

Please * let it be Tuesday. It's definitely getting too much now..

 

Would be great if Scotland ever made to the finals, would give you fannies an actual team to support.

Nah I think last 16 would be seen as ok but nothing to hit home about.

 

Yeah being in the same group as Tunisia and Panama essentially put England in the last 16 before a ball was kicked. And given what Group H was like then Quarter-final should have been the aim to call it a good tournament. I mean England have had a few bad tournaments now but let's not pretend they shouldn't have been aiming for quarter-final minimum in this one.

It's also weird how every English fan was all "oh nobody's bigging us up this time, we're not going in with any expectations" to the vast majority of them now talking about winning it. They can stop with the humility BS, nobody's buying it. "It's coming home" we'll see, just don't cry too hard when Falcao and co rip that mediocre defence apart, I mean Panama were creating quite a few chances, who knows what an actual good team will do to it.

 

I predict 2-2,Columbia scoring in ET.

 

Im just curious to know what its like thats all. Never being able to celebrate thier country in a world cup or euros, i can see where the bitterness and jelousy comes from. That goes for Ireland as well.
I dont call people huns at all, but i can try to understand the situation your in, when you got no team to support so you support any team thats playing England.. its a bit sad.

You'd be hard pressed to find a nation that would be cheering England on anywhere on the globe....which tells it's own story..
