    Trying to work out if this could be done. I believe we play them on match 28, leaving 10 games left and a possible 30pts left to play for. 25pts in it right now so if they lose 1 more and then we stuff them, we would be 31pts clear. This is assuming Aberdeen mess up too and are in third place still.

    Now that WOULD be sweet.

    We need to win all our games and hope that (a) Sevco lose once; and (b) Aberdeen drop seven or more points. Realistically we could well be in a position to be mathematically uncatchable by sevco, but I can't see Aberdeen slipping up that badly in their next 6 games.

    Aberdeen have winnable games up to the weekend we hump that mob, which could delay it.

    Of the chance of securing the title against Rangers at Parkhead;

    I've worked it out and it doesn't look good;

    The sheep need to * up big time. Note that if we win three of the next four games, Hearts, St Johnstone and the rest will be officially out of the title picture.

    TLDR; If we win all our games, Aberdeen need to drop 7 points before the Old Firm and Rangers need to drop 3 points for us to secure the title against Rangers.

    As it stands;
    ___________PL__PT's
    1_Celtic____23__67
    2_Rangers__23__42
    3_Aberdeen_22__40

    Here are the SPL fixtures for Celtic, Aberdeen and Rangers between now and then;

    Celtic:- St Johnstone (A) 5/2, Motherwell (H) 18/2, Hamilton (H) 25/2, Inverness (A) 1/3, Rangers (H) 12/3
    Aberdeen:- Partick (H) 4/2, Motherwell (H) 15/2, Kilmarnock (A) 19/2, Ross County (H) 25/2, Hamilton (A) 28/2, Motherwell (H) 11/3
    Rangers:- Ross County (H) 4/2, Dundee (A) 19/2, Inverness (A) 24/2, St Johnstone (H), Celtic (A) 12/3

    Some possible scenarios assuming Celtic win outright;

    Aberdeen and Rangers drop no points before OF

    Table after an OF Celtic win;

    Celtic____pld_28, 82_pts
    Aberdeen_pld_28, 58_pts
    Rangers__pld_28, 54_pts

    10 games left at this point means 30 pts available. Gap of 24 between us and Aberdeen. 28 pts between us and Rangers.

    Short of securing the title by 7 points;

    Aberdeen drop six points and Rangers drop two before OF

    Table after an OF Celtic win.

    Celtic____pld_28, 82_pts
    Aberdeen_pld_28, 52_pts
    Rangers__pld_28, 52_pts

    30 pts available. Gap of 30 pts between Celtic and both Rangers and Aberdeen.

    Short of securing the title but would only need 1 point from remaining 10 games;

    Aberdeen drop seven points and Rangers drop three before OF

    Table after an OF Celtic win.

    Celtic____pld_28, 82_pts
    Aberdeen_pld_28, 51_pts
    Rangers__pld_28, 51_pts

    30 pts Available. Gap of 31 pts between Celtic and both Rangers and Aberdeen. TITLE SECURED!!!

    Some other things:-

    The earliest we can win the title is away against Inverness on the 1st of March;

    _____________Max Pts available after game__-Max Possible Gap after game
    St Johnstone__ 42__________________________28
    Motherwell____39__________________________31
    Hamilton______36_________________________34
    Inverness____33______________________37 <--- Here

    The latest we can win the title, if we continue the winning streak, is at home against Partick on the 5th of April;

    _____________Max Pts available after game____Gap (Aberdeen win every game)
    St Johnstone__ 42__________________________24
    Motherwell____39__________________________24
    Hamilton______36__________________________24
    Inverness_____33__________________________24
    Rangers_______30__________________________24
    Dundee_______27__________________________24
    Hearts________24__________________________24
    Partick______21_______________________24 <--- Here

    Maximum Points tally;

    112 points.

    Finally;

    If we win 8 of our remaining 15 games at this point we're secure the title regardless.

    Couldn't give a * if we win it or not against them tbh, hoping for a nice hammering to compound their misery. Another 5-1 would do nicely.

    I want to win it as early as possible this year but I do like the idea of demolishing the scum and being named champions

    As pointed out by others above, it's very possibly and in fact likely that if we win every game up to and including then, we will probably Mathematically guarantee the huns can't win the league, but I doubt Aberdeen will be out of it by then.

    We'd need them to take 8 points or less from a pretty easy run of 5 fixtures, Mot, PT and RC at home, Hamilton and Killie away. No way they don't take 10+ points from that.

    Not sure it's going to happen now with the great form Aberdeen have been in. I think we needed them to drop points off their last few games. If only we had this foresight maybe we wouldn't have let Christie go on loan.. :41:

    Can't really happen now, Aberdeen would need to only get 2 points from their next 3 games. 1 win or 3 draws would rule it out which is likely.
