    In the European Cup winning season the Celtic first team scored 196 goals in all competitions.
    I know there has only been 5 games so far but they have scored 19 goals.
    Will they even get close to that amazing record.

    Not fussed about the number of goals, if we're after equalling or surpassing any Lions achievements this season it should be the 9 obv and then the Big Cup.

    Getting to GS of CL will mean including winning a treble a total of 54 matches still to play this season so say averaging 2 goals a game from now on would mean 127 goals including matches already played.
    Currently we have averaged 3.8 goals per game.

    Last season they scored 121 goals in ALL competitions.

    Numbers on a Sunday morning, I’ll need to return to this post once I’ve got a coffee in me lol.

    We have an abundance of goal threats on the park and coming off the bench. If Lennon and the players can maintain that desire when going up 2-3 goals in a first half, especially after mid-week exertions, we’ll be be in for some great high scoring matches

    It’ll take a lot of luck and player management to keep the hunger high and injuries low.

    Away games, teams becoming ultra defensive out of fear. A player like Mikey with his skill, Christie/Calmac/Shved/Rogic - all capable of 20 yard strikes against double decker parked buses.
    Improving corners. Already seeing glimpses of improvement, Simunovic and Ajer go close often, need more from French Ed in the air. Keen to see Juliens offensive attributes too.

    The two main strikers are looking hot already. Eddy is looking inspired, Griff has the hunger and is in his prime.

    All in all. We could have goals from all over.
