Would be an exercise in pointlessness.

If we sold it then it would work for both sides. It would sell.

Imagine the Celtic TV commentator doing the Boston Celtic matches.

Getting to say ‘it’s in the back of the net’ 100 times a game.

Maybe. I think any hype would die down quite quickly.

No chance Tom Boyd could keep up with play.

What benefit would a brand (Boston celtics) that gets 10 times the social media followers of a smaller brand (us) get from this?

Not to put us down but its a bit like folk wanting Guinness to sponsor us.

Celtic shop used to sell a few Boston Celtics things. Don't think it lasted long though.

Or maybe it was just a basketball top that said Celtic instead of Celtics. Sure it was the real deal though.

Could/would want more of a link with the red socks to be honest.

From a sporting point of view, there is nearly nothing that the two clubs could share, be it coaching, knowledge, style, playing surface etc.

At least if we went down the red socks route we could use Fenway park again, or they could use Celtic park (think red socks-yankees are using Wembley next summer).
Then build on the buzz surrounding the Irish connection of both support.

It would actually be beneficial in that sense. But to be honest, other than a nod to our roots, we can't really share much with Boston Celtics.
