For me it’s a real lack of movement, Sinclair being off form takes a massive amount out of our game. He usually reliably scores and when he’s confident he’s dragging defenders here there and everywhere.

With that not happening, Dembele’s runs aren’t as obvious, then he’s dropping deeper searching for the ball, Rogic’s dropping deeper searching for the ball and we aren’t playing between the lines of the oppositions defence and midfield.

It’s not just Sinclair but last season and earlier this season he led by example, he was moving, he wasn’t just bailed to the touchline and the rest followed his example.

This season it seems to be very static. Is it the amount of games catching up on us?

    * knows, I suspect everycunt will have a different answer to this but we need to get back on the goal hunt.

Apart from individuals being on/off form, and possibly fatigue, the amount of rotation in the squad especially through injury this season I think has been the main thing keeping us from getting into a proper rhythm, we need a more settled starting 11.

Lack of tempo, lack of creativity and lack of endeavour in some cases.
Don't think we are getting the ball up the park fast enough, our sideways passes seem to be giving the opponent more time to set themselves defensively.
We aren't pressing teams as much as last season either, a lot of our goals used to come from us forcing opponents into mistakes.
That combined with injuries, form of certain players and constant rotation of players.

Probably the number of games players are having to play, the traveling etc and there not being any pressure on us to win. Last season probably shocked the players once it finished how many games they played and how much traveling they had to do as they were trying in every game to keep the unbeaten run going and win the Treble. Then how little time off they get in the summer before they are expected to do it all again.

This season they have likely went "* that carryon" and are taking it much easier, especially in the League since once we lost to Hearts theres not been anything to keep us pushing on, we are still well clear despite not coming out of 2nd gear.

The thing is our more attacking players are coming back, we’ve got the best use of our squad here than at any point in the season and we’re failing to score quite often.

The most obvious reason is the way teams defend against us. 3-5 attackers trying to score against 11 defenders is always going to make it more difficult.

Movement up top has been a big problem along with a lack of urgency.

Injuries and fatigue have played their part this season too. Especially with both Dembele and Griffiths having sustained periods out.

Playing three at the back makes our shape look awkward at times too.

Opponents having 8 players on their 18 yard line is really scuppering things.

It’s a tough one to answer.

We’ve always faced packed defences, itms just they’re now starting to work. The oppositions tactics haven’t changed, it’s been down to us.

There were times we struggled to score against packed defences last season too. We can't just ignore the most obvious reason.

For those who are in love.....
I don't like to keep singling out Sinclair as it's a team game but.....he's doing the bare minimum in most game's. He even said in an interview that last year he was beating men but this season he's more focused on just scoring goals..

Couldn't believe that attitude and what I was reading. Especially when he cannot and will not mercilessly go at his man and his runs out to in off the ball are nowhere near as frequent. More often than not now, he'll hug the touchline, receive the ball and then play it safe back to KT or McGregor and Armstrong the last 2 game's..

Our play is too safe. Give it to Forrest for example and hope he beats 3 men and scores or lays it on a plate. Can't do that every week, as well as patrolling the whole right side..

Too many happy to pass the buck. Lack of motivation in my opinion during the lesser game's. Self greed when in dangerous positions when better options are on. Lack of idea's on how to cut packed defenses open. No relentless pressing from the front and turning over, in fact it happens to us now more than the other way around. Rotation not being utilized with the right personnel. Set pieces turgid and predictable..

You could literally go on all day..

Well one reason is we don't have both our full backs attacking like we used to when Lennon was here, Matthews gave us so much going forward compared to what we have today most notably the build up play v inter milan and his goal against Hamilton.

And yet we still racked up a massive amount of goals in the league, a lot more than we have this season. I don’t think the opposition have improved thag massively from this season to the last.

The most obvious reason is down to us, we aren’t putting the ball away as often as we did last season and it’s not the opposition that are making us do that IMO.

Think Kieran Tierney is far superior at that myself tbh.

Corners have become a joke, especially with Griffiths not playing half the games this season. Feels like we never score from a corner or freeick crossed in despite having Boyata, Ajer, Lustig, sometimes Edouard or Dembele we should be scoring much more.

Aye, Armstrong as well even though his aren’t the best.

We should have had 3 from set pieces last night - Sinclair getting in the road of Boyata’s from Armstrongs corner, Hendry from Griffs free kick, and Lustig from Griffs corner.

What you said about too many players passing the buck is spot on. It seems that nobody is wanting to take responsibility to make that killer pass or take a risk incase Brendan goes tonto at them for losing the ball.

Its hard to score from a corner when most balls either hit the first man or go right over the top and out of play.
I think we've scored more playing it short, like against psg away. We should be able to send in decent deliveries as we have 8-12 corners per game.

See I do agree with it but then we have the opposite at times, players trying to take the responsibility themselves and try and score when there’s a far better option available.

Decision making is a major factor.
