Typical Celtic, trying to do everything as cheap as possible.

Probably why we're not trying to convince ourselves the championship is the place to be...

I thought some one said he had a 6ft 5 inch player. Surely that would be a big
player he has experience of working with .

maybe Celtic have paid up the asking fee and at the last minute Godset are trying to squeeze some extra money or trying to blame Celtic and/or the Ronny for the bad feeling of the fans e.g. sour milk leaves a bitter taste in the mouth

don't get me wrong if our successful manager was tempted away by another club we would be bitter aswell mate

any way best of luck for the new season :50:

i hope Ronny has got a scottish coach on board to help out with the game here in scotland think that this is crucial as he will likely not know much about our game at all

and i hope he takes it slowly at first till he gets to see his squad and gets to know his players, as we've seen coaches come in before and try and make their mark straight away and it doesn't go smoothly

Still, if we didn't risk * the Norwegians off so much that they call the whole deal off in order to shave 50p off the compensation, it wouldn't be our board. :smiley-laughing002:

Remember how long the Griffiths deal took and Wolves wanted to sell him. We made stupidly low offers for him

True that. Except when Barnes was manager. :54:

I wish the internet had been as prominent as it is now when the likes of Liam Brady and John Barnes were being appointed :smiley-laughing002:

Our board are fantastic at that stuff, but I long for the day when "driving a hard bargain" isn't seen as a virtue.

I was a deluded little * back then. For example I was convinced Brian McLaughlin was the new Jinky. I'm pretty glad I didn't have a forum to air my views back then. :smiley-laughing002:

Edit: and I was excited as * when Barnes was signed. His ideas really made me feel happy that summer!

my memorys bad but if i remember right

barnes football was good for a while very attacking

the press didnt like him or believe his ideas were workable

but he seemed to lose the dressing room and then the infamous ict game

it's vague in the memory but i think he had 2 central attacking midfielders and it was quite an alien formation, the press didn't rate it

was berkovic one of the attacking midfielders i think, maybe some other members can remember it better
