Except 3 Champions Leagues in a row.

Can’t take that away from him, some that even the greatest haven’t done.

I think the 3 Champions Leagues in a row will be thrown about forever and rightly so, to a point.

It glosses over the fact he really hasn’t proven an awful lot other than he’s good at knockout European football.

Can he pick a player? Can he build a Guardiola like Barca dynasty? Can he have prolonged success like Ferguson? Can he build a Club from the bottom up like Mourinho? (Can he won 6 domestic trophies from his first 6 like Rodgers :fear:)

For a guy that’s won 3 Champions Leagues who you’d expect to be a managerial genius there are more questions about him than answers.

Impossible comparison to make though Dev. Who is too say how many European cups Jock Stein , Clough etc would have won if the top 4 in the league qualified rather than the winner ?

It’s the closest comparison we can make. We can certainly say it about Fergie who I thinks the best ever

    It's a great achievement.

I just don't think he should be ranked with the GOAT's quite yet.

I'd like to see how he does at a 'lesser' club with limited resources before ranking him alongside the guys I mentioned.

Spanish manager Julen Lopetegui taking over, surprised at that, seems it took even the Spanish media by surprise. Done well with Spain, won the unders Euros at a few levels as well, nothing at club level though and failed at Porto.

Strange timing to announce it, right before kick off in a major tournament.

For Real Madrid and the quality of players they have and are able to obtain (anyone they want), then winning 3 CL titles surely must be on a similar level to seeing us win 3 Scottish Cup titles in a row? Or Man Utd winning 3 FA cups in a row?

Their league form has been poor as * to be brutally honest.

But that said, it is * hard to try and take anything away from 3 CL titles on the bounce, I mean we would go nuts just for one! so 3 is amazing, really can't take anything away from it. But when you compare it to the domestic scene, he has been weak there. A Cup game manager. A * good one.

Personally I can see him taking over the French team after the WC and then winning a title with them, then retire for good.
