We had a lot of injuries at the back - is it lack of game time or lack of time to form defensive partnerships after long spells apart? Have the crushing defeats in Europe shattered the defence's confidence? Are Jozo and Boyata complacent after last year, or are they just being found out as not very good?

Or all of the above. For what it's worth I've seen both of them give great performances for us but lately I think Ajer and Bitton will be our strongest pairing until we (hopefully) strengthen in January.

I dunno, maybe Rodgers got Boyata playing out of skin last season but in reality he's not actually a great defender.

Perhaps same could be said of Jozo lately, can't say i've seen much of the lad outside of a Celtic shirt but atleast in Boyata's case he's starting to play at the level he was before he came here.

Also loads of injuries that have led to likes of Bitton having to be used which I admit should really say alot about our depth in that position.

The CL hammerings will definitely have affected their confidence, there's no way it can't. Same goes for other players, especially the ones rested in the league game beforehand just to play in a CL loss.
