Thinking of getting a new telly for my bedroom that will be mainly used for playing PS4 on. We just got a new 43 inch 4K Sony Bravia for the sitting room but I prefer playing on smaller tellys when it comes to PlayStation.

Current one is 32 inch but I need an upgrade, it's only HD ready and I've had it years. Would I be better off just getting a decent full HD 32 inch seeing as the PS4 doesn't even play 4K stuff?

I’ve a 50” HD for mine in the lounge. It’s a bit dated but does the trick. Just put Gran turismo on this second and the detailing looks fantastic. Would love to see it in 4K.
I’ve a smaller One I my room but can’t play on the smaller screen even tho it’s a better tv. Never had an issue with the smaller screen until I got the 50”
Will probally update my tv when the new PlayStation comes out

I would go 4k just to be a bit more future proof. Argos have sale on the now and think there are some going quite cheap.

4k with HDR is the way to go, in a bed room I'd go no more than 42" imo,

Defintley go for 4k, future proofing because 4K gaming will be the new thing, itll be night and day whichever one you get compared to an old HD ready.

This one looks good, HDR aswell.

    * that's a decent price, my mate works in DID as well so could get 15% off that, did so for the Sony one out of there.

I think I'll probably go for a 4K then considering I'm going to have the telly for years and am inevitably going to upgrade my console so I might as well.

What is the difference between 4K HDR and just 4K?

I've an old panasonic viera up in the bedroom.

Had it about 12 years - bit on the heavy side, but the picture quality on it is still incredible.

Best £500 of the back of a lorry I've every spent.

HDR just means more accurate colors, brighter brights and darker blacks, it does look unreal, look up HDR difference or something and youll see =)

Go for that telly man, im jealous ha my uncle works in DID aswell thats how I got a good deal on mine!

Mate if your going to get a TV the best you can get right now is a oled uhd HDR 10bit, lg are the cheapest and best value for money you will get a 50" for £1200,
a non oled lg will give you a bit of motion blur on some HD fast moving images, blacks are decent and contrast is decent ull have to mess around to get it set correctly, Panasonic are great simple no bells and whistles but they build good quality TVs that last and its good right out the box, and Sony HDR is only 8bit built for now and has android operating system (kodi) similar to Samsung in pic sound quality 9/10 a little more expensive tho, my personal choice after months of research and having a bit of a hobby in this type of stuff went for the Sammy 10bit hdr and every time I see an oled I regret but out of the £800 range seriously look at samsung

Sony, go to richer sounds or any outher good place that sells them, download a full 4k uhd movie file sample on a usb and test them on their standard settings, high lighted shop floor and see for yourself they mostly keep there TVs in demo mode or play a udh movie which is a whole lot different from standard viewing you have make sure its good for SD/HD as that's were most of your viewing will be, or through kodi

Got a big 50” 4K tv which is great for fifa and racing games etc, but for first person shooters I prefer 32” screen, might get one of the 120hz screens for the xbox one x

Think you'd be wasting your money on unused potential man, good as the one x will be I doubt it'll be running anything at 120 fps!
