What two sports would you add to the olympics?

The Olympics helped bring Boxing to mainstream again it would do the same for MMA if we could get a medal. I would add all the X-games sports to it as well like BMX dirt,street,flatland and Skateboarding and Moto X dirt.

 

I dont doubt that an athlete winning a medal in boxing (or hypothetically mma) would increase the popularity of the sport in that country - it doesn't necessarily follow that that's good for the sport though.

Olympic MMA would look avokiteky nothing like modern MMA you see in the likes of the UFC today. In fact, thinking about it, it would probably look very similar to Sambo. In effect, it would take the origins of MMA (disregarding styles that don't work in reality and focussing purely on what does work) and lose then entirely.

Of course it would, Amir Khan, Audley Harrison, Anthony Joshua all got huge attention from the media as
soon as they won the Gold medal the mainstream media followed their progress into the professional ranks. Audley Harrison fights were even shown on the BBC at prime time. The government pumped loads of money into boxing because we started to win medals it one of the reasons boxing is doing so well again in UK is the talent we have and that's largely down to government initiatives supporting Boxing. Even women boxers like Adams gets quite a lot of media on BBC.

I thought it was strange thing for someone like you who watches combat sports to write I need Specsavers .

 

I don't think I've ever watched football at the Olympics despite it probably being my favourite sport. I think the only sport I watch outside of the Olympics and during it is boxing, though even this might lend itself to the fact that * and professional boxing are noticeably different.

Squash just because if tennis, table tennis, badmimton etc are olympic sports i dont see why squash shouldn't be.

Play occasionally, it's a very tiring game but great fun. Mon the squash.
