    Only Naples could come close, but New York has more than just one style of Pizza unlike Naples, and it was in New York that Pizza really took off as a working class food

    Focaccia was a peasant food, but with Pizza the Tomatoes needed to be imported from the New World and it took a while before they could be bout locally for a cheap price so when Neapolitan pizza came out, it was affordable but it was still considered more of a luxury than most local meals
