When you think of Celtic, what’s the team you think of? My Dad’s is the Quality Street Kid’s, a lot of the older generation of course go straight to the Lions.

Some will have it as the centenary season, maybe even some will have it in the dark days of the 90’s and the shining light that was Tommy Burns’ team - despite them not doing the business in the end up.

Could be Jansen stopping the 10 or the WGS bossing in Europe.

For me and I suspect it will always be the case, it’s Martin O’Neill’s Celtic. The likes of Larsson, Lubo, Thommo, Lenny, Lambo, Petrov, Sutton, Hartson...

That full era was just something else and a connection I’ve never had with a Celtic team since. It’s not the first one I can remember but it’s the one that will always be my Celtic team, the era for me.

O'Neill's. First time I had seen us dominate.

My first "proper" Celtic team was Burns'.

The first one I was REALLY indulged in was Jansen's.

The first one I was totally involved in was O'Neill's.

That’s the same as me, first proper team I can remember was Burns’s.

You know now I come to think of it, it may have actually been you who taught me the Cadette and Di Canio songs :56::56:

O'Neill for me as well, first time in my life I could say we truly dominated Scottish Football.

Cesar's centenary team was very special too though, the connection between the team and the support that season got us over the line in a good few games.

Centenary season is something I wish I witnessed, by everything I’ve seen and heard about it it seemed something truly special.

There’s been moments like that as a team though, Tommy dying and us coming back and winning the league from something like 9 points down or that for WGS 3-in-a-row. The passion at Tannadice on Tommy Burns Thursday is something rarely seen.

    What Di Canio song though?

I've got visions of Paddy sliding down a stripper pole singing "Dee-aye-ca-nee-oh, oh he's dee-aye-ca-nee-oh

There was a right stinker of a di canio song doing the rounds at Parkhead that didn't last.

    Paulo Di Canio
    He's from Milanio

    He got long Hario
    He stays in Glasgeo

To the tune of go west. Probably worst song ive ever heard at Celtic park. Brutal :56:

I don't think I have a team. When I think about Celtic I think of certain players and staff. Larsson, Lubo, Agathe, Sutton to Naka, Broony, McDonald, Boruc, McGeady to Sammy, Vic, Virgil, Hooper, Lenny etc etc

From 2000-2004 when MON's side was in its pomp, I was still only around 5-9 and was just getting into being fanatical about football, so can't honestly say that they are my team, despite the memories I have of Seville and beating Barca etc.

I remember the players, obviously, and remember getting my first Celtic kit with Petrov on the back in 2000. Larsson is still my hero.

However I'd say that Strachan's is the team I have the most vivid memories of, as by that time I was at high school and really into it. Can remember everything from that era, whereas with O'Neill's most things prior to 2003-ish are hazy. Had also started going to the odd game around that point as well, my first euro game being the penalty win over Spartak.

Martin O'Neill's team. After living through the 90's and the Huns 9IAR, it was a sweet feeling to see a Celtic team putting them back in their box on a regular basis. The run to Seville was also incredibly special. That team also had so many players in it that I really liked. Henrik, Lubo, Alan Thompson, Jackie McNamara, Stilian Petrov and Big Bobo to name but a few. The last season under O'Neill was turgid but it doesn't erase all the good times and special memories that went beforehand.

    This one.

Our domestic dominance is making me so happy :57:

I think I'm enjoying it so much because I (like a lot on here) had to go through the huns corrupt 9iar era.

These are the happiest years of my life as a tic fan :shamrock:

Centenary team. Hands down for me. Nothing was expected of us that season with the currants spending like men possessed. We played wonderful attacking football and as long as there was 5 minutes left at 1-0 down. We always knew it would be 2-1 to the Hoops!

Its what made me go from “support them cause my family does” to supporting them because i loved them.

Although the wheels were in motion from the Cadete, Hoojidonk, DiCanio days.
