What are you expecting in January?

A striker and a CB. That's what we must bring in.
A RB and another CB would be amazing, but can only happen if boyata/simunovic goes.

 

January and this summer should be focused on us getting a quality squad for 9 and 10. January especially.

We should be going out and getting them and giving them time to bed in for when next season starts.

In the summer we should be looking at another CB and midfielder for when Benkovic/Boyata leave and Ntcham inevitably gets a stupid offer.

Get rid of the deadwood as well.

 

Use the Dembele money to sign Benkovic. The best CB we've had since Van Dijk whom he resembles in build and ability. The guy is gonna be top-class i think. Leicester have plenty of other CB's so if we offer £15/16M for a player they paid £13M for they might play ball. I know it's 99% certain this won't happen but i can dream.

 

Lawwell could be put on an intravenous drip of heroin from now until the transfer window opening and he still wouldn't sanction that.

 

i think if you kidnapped lawwell , held a gun to his head and demanded he do this , i still dont think he could bring himself to do it

 

January is never an easy window to navigate however it's important we strengthen to keep the gap as big as possible. Although we are starting to hit top form, the club shouldn't be using this as an excuse to do nothing again.

WE NEED:
CB - even if Boyata & Benkovic stay. We need to bed someone in so they are good to go for Qualifers
RB - Need someone to come in and go right into this position. Lustig moved to back-up.
ST - Strong target man (a Plan B)

OUT:
Gamboa - BR reluctant to use him, so get him off the wage bill
Jozo - not good enough
Hendry - will not sell him, so loan
Compper
Kouassi - loan

 

I’m expecting an indication on BRs future by the end of it..

 

Never replaced Dembele, and now without Arzani or Kouassi for the season.

We all know Brendan should get at least half of the dembele' money in january to use however he sees fit to spend in a position or position(s) , but let's say it goes 8 and 10 points clear again by then the celtic board are going to say ah haud on a minute. and do nothing again to strengthen the team.

 

With Arzani now out for the season and Roberts struggling for game time at Girona, surely we must at least ask the question...

 

Roberts would be a really top signing still young to improve and we know the ability of him , i'm sure he's out of contract soon however Man City would still be looking for a significant fee for him wich could well eat into our budget again like Edouard.

If we could get him and bring in another quality 3rd striker option , i'd be happy with that.

 

With both Arzani and Eboue out for the season, i could potentially see us getting another CM and RW in (I'd say CDM but i think we're covered there with Brown and Mulumbu, so an out and out cm to challenge ntcham is needed, even if Christie is in form). RB, CB and ST should be the other priorities, with another CB and GK touted for the summer window.

 

Man City won't be happy with Roberts getting no game time so it's a no brainer trying to get him back on loan or even permanent if at all possible.

 

Minimum should be RB LM and CF.

The money we had in the summer and didn't spend was topped up by sale of Dembele so ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSES.

I haven't paid for any extras this year after the summer transfer mess. Didn't take up my Europa league package and not paid for any domestics cup games. I realise I'm on the large minority but I feel the board are ripping the fans.

For me the January window will decide my decision to renew my ST or not. We need to be in the strongest position possible for the Champions league qualifiers and not rely on the likes of Jack Hendry...

 

In the summer Benkovic and Boyata will definitely be gone. So even if 2 new guys come in we still need backup for new guys and ajer so at least one of Jozo or hendry has to stay. Compper won't go, why should he? Sits out a 20k a week pay for * all.

 

When does his contract run out? Is it this season? Unsure how many games he is getting at Genoa, so he may want to stay there
