I thought there looked like there was something up with him, he wasn't moving like he usually does, his acceleration wasn't as sharp as usual.

Could be wrong but something seemed off physically with him.

SS: "It’s very quiet, only nine or ten players. Everyone away, but it’s nice having a quiet dressing room."

SS: "We have played so many games up to now so it’s great for us players to recharge the batteries."

SS: "And get ready to go back and finish the last bit of the season."

SS on international ambitions: “Haven’t given up. All I concentrate on is playing well & hopefully one day it will come."

SS on his consistent form: "It just comes down from playing every week, enjoying my football & having a manager that believes in me."

SS on prospect of winning title at Tynecastle “It would be great for myself & the team, have good memories there, hopefully more."

SS: “The gaffer knows when to rest players. Having a little rest now and hopefully that will get me through to the end of the season."

SCOTT Sinclair believes the current international break will help reinvigorate Celtic ahead of the closing part of the campaign. The winger is among the small contingent of Hoops players who have remained behind at Lennoxtown, with most of the squad joining up with their respective countries at the start of the week.

The short hiatus in the club calendar arrived with Brendan Rodgers' side just one win away from securing a sixth successive title, helped by a sensational 36-game unbeaten run in domestic football since the start of the season.

And Sinclair hopes the Bhoys can use the pause in proceedings as a springboard to seal the championship and enjoy a strong finish to the term.

“It’s very quiet,” said the 27-year-old. “There are only nine or ten players here as everyone is away on international duty but it’s quite nice having a quiet dressing room! We have played so many games up until now so it’s great for us players to recharge the batteries, get a week’s rest and get ready to go back and finish off the last bit of the season.

“We have played so many games so it’s great to have a little rest and a few days to recharge the batteries. For us players, there are expectations of us winning 3-0 every single week - that’s the level of expectation now as we have done so well as a team.

“The gaffer knows when to rest players and when not to. He will come up with a plan for what he thinks is best for the team. I'm having a little rest now and that should get me through to the end of the season.

“It’s great getting that rest where you can spend time with your family, put your feet up for a few days, and recharge the batteries and be ready to come in again.”

Nonetheless, despite enjoying this short period of respite, the Englishman still holds ambitions of representing his country.

“I haven’t given up on it,” he said. “All I can concentrate on is playing well, which I am doing. I have got my form back and hopefully one day it will come. I just need to concentrate on my performances week in, week out, keep my head down and concentrate on my form.

“The best opportunity for me is playing Champions League football so hopefully we qualify and get through to the group stages, and maybe one day it will come. I will concentrate on myself, scoring and creating goals and playing as well as I can.”

Not worried about his form. No doubt the amount of games we've played this season has caught up with him, he hasn't played this much football in years....
