I have no doubt that he still has a future here.

I'm delighted he's going out on loan for the full year. I'd expect him to make the grade for us next year and if not, it'll be a permanent transfer then. I think he'll grow a great deal this year and make a real impact for us next season. Fingers crossed.

We are back to square one now really, that makes no sense at all? What is a spoofter? Is it a deliberate portmanteau of spoof and poofter? If so you deserve credit for originality, albeit with a smack for homophobia.
More importantly though, why are you keeping horse secretion? You're weird.

You're right mate, we're literally spoilt for choice! We've got such a strong squad, full credit to the board for pulling off the incredible capture of BR.

If we can keep hold of Dembele, Rogic etc this Summer, I don't think we need too many new players. Possibly a Back-up GK as I don't rate De Vries, I'm happy with Tierney with Izzy Back-up, possibly an experienced CB, although I'm not too worried as we have Boyata, Simunovic, Sviachenko. Right Back, Lustig with Gamboa covering, I think we need a marquee CM, ideally, experienced, but still fit enough to engage with BR's pressing tactic, someone defensive Minded, able to ping the ball around and protect the back 4, personally, I'd love Lucas - exactly what we need. I know we've signed Hayes but if we miss out on Paddy, we need to throw some serious cash to find a suitable replacement, although thats almost impossible.

If we keep hold of Moussa and LG, as we only play with 1 CF, we've got the superb relief of knowing we've got 2 Players who can easily score 25 goals + .

However, I'd quite like another Striker, ideally a Target Man, for Europe, someone with a proven pedigree.

BR has put together a squad with very few weakness, theres adequate cover in every position except in Goal.

He'll play the majority of sheep game's this time round and wouldn't put it past him bagging poty..

Won't do him any harm. Has a real chance now to show Brendan what's what..

An Aberdeen fan thinks he can play against us cos Hayes can play against them :giggle2::giggle2: don't think he understand the difference between a loan and a permanent transfer

McInnes moved to bring in Ryan Christie for a second loan spell but revealed he would have preferred to sign him on a permanent deal.

The Dons tried to bundle him up with Hayes moving to Parkhead, but Celtic believe the former Inverness star still has a future with them.

McInnes said: “We tried hard to get Ryan on a permanent deal, that was well documented.

“We put in a couple of very strong offers, ones we thought would be accepted, but Celtic said he wasn’t for sale.

“We agreed a fee, with Jonny going the other way, and were keen to get Ryan here permanently for loads of reasons.

“I wanted him to be an Aberdeen player and to have no restrictions, but Celtic believe he has a future there.”

Promising to read. Will be more opportunities for him at Aberdeen, whereas here, he could stagnate.

Removing the Lawwell filter - he's worth more than the million quid or thereabouts you bid for him to us.

I'd be amazed if it was even half that. Their biggest outlay in the last 5 years was £300k to St. Mirren for Kenny McLean.

Personally I can't see him getting into our team long-term. He'll come back from from the season-long loan and with a year left on his contract we'll punt him to cut our losses.

They agreed a fee inclusive of Hayes joining Celtic. The total package was then clearly more than a million.

Was the bid not £1 million + Christie for Hayes? Then Hayes was signed for £1.3million....so Christie valued at £300k?

From that quote from McInnes they agreed a fee plus Hayes, therefore Christie is worth more than £1.3 million.

The way he's worded it is pretty ambiguous buy there's absolutely no chance Aberdeen would forego the cash we paid for Hayes never mind pay an additional amount for Christie.

From all reports I read at the time implied it was £1mil + Christie that Aberdeen were after.
